When Marco Tilio and Yang are told they can't leave because we have no other wing options before a champions league qualifier enough said. Anybody that thinks there is a recruitment strategy is deluded. Even during our darkest days in the 90's there was an attempt to put the best players available in the correct positions within our limited resources. Recruitment under Ange and his agent was a one off nothing to do with the board. After giving Eddie Howe five months to walk away (another example of their collective incompetence) they just got lucky.
Yet with circa. £100m in our coffers we've had a £250,000 punt on a back up to Tierney. A loan deal arranged for a 19 year old centre half after buying half a dozen that couldn't cut the mustard after a 2023 transfer window we're still trying to recover from by punting the 9 or 10 donkeys purchased. Once upon a time we'd Larsson, Sutton and Hartson. Recently we'd Griffiths, Eduard and Dembelle. Now we face the biggest game we'll play all season as it stands with our second choice striker Idah now first choice, and another punt that is Yabada and Kenny up front. James Forest at 34 is the best winger at the club. Our best striker Maeda needs to play on the left wing cause we've no other options. Kyogo, Khun and Jota not yet replaced. There is no other word to describe Celtics recruitment other than chaotic although shambolic and disgraceful are not bad shouts.
Season ticket prices increased but £25 for a friendly and no rounds in Europe included. Goodness knows how many kits and embarrassing KT back to paradise t-shirts released. Player interviews on Celtic TV behind a paywall. The disconnect continues. The club that is now corporate Celtic has lost its soul thanks to the failures of its custodians, their greed and mismanagement.
We're all entitled to our opinions but I struggle to understand anybody with a love of Celtic in their heart that could defend this board. Wake up and smell the coffee the facts are facts. Open your eyes. Do you really think their ambition matches ours or the managers? Do you think they've made Celtic the best version of ourselves that we could be? It both saddens and angers me.
The board are totally and utterly incompetent. They are out of their individual and collective depth. A well run business but a long way from a well run football club.

Celtic should be exciting to watch, lively and energetic. Instead we are only doing enough to win our current, pathetic league with current, pathetic opposition. I know that, we all know that and I bet the Board knows that as well.
Until our opposition increases markedly I guess it'll be the same old, same old. We're a decent side playing one offs. I just hope the Board doesn't see that and hope that every game we play is a one off.
The thing that gets me is that we're supposed to be a Football Club and not a bank. Instead we seem to be a Bank first with a football club attached.

All this mumpin and moanin, greetin and girnin, squealin and squallin, constantly about the board but everyone still throws their money at them every season.
If everyone felt that bad then all these same people need to organise something to have the board removed.
I always wondered why a person (DD) who has less than 35% of shares in a company has so much power.
Surely if other major shareholders or all the small shareholders grouped together then something could be done.

The Board know that Brendan will see out his 3 year contract this time because that’s what he mentioned in his first interview.
If Brendan is the Celtic Manager then we win the title - it’s that simple.
The Celtic Board should be trying to keep currently the most valuable person at our club.
The chances of Brendan staying beyond his 3 years now in virtually Zero and that’s because the Celtic Board don’t share the ambitions Brendan will have for our club.
JFP is correct that the Board got very lucky with the Ange appointment and getting Brendan back.
It could go downhill very quickly after Brendan leaves.
Time will tell.

Although there are still Board apologists out there, it is extremely difficult to argue with any of that JFP.
A properly run Celtic as a football club (not a hedge fund) would be (Janefield) Streets ahead of where we are today. We have the fanbase, the global brand and the resources to be far superior to wher we re at present. The death of Rangers in 2012 and the infamous 5 way agreement has some how made our club regress instead of progress.

The board have us in a fantastic financial position whilst maintaining a winning team on the park. People keep posting daily about the board gambling with CL qualification, but what if the signings we've made already are good enough to get us into the CL?

My thoughts exactly JFP, too many times the club have shown that they take the fans for mugs and nothing but a cash cow to be milked. They charge fans for all they can then penny pinch on the squad. We might still make a couple of signings in this window but it’s clearly a shambles.

It's all what if's at this stage TinyTim. Most on here are stating as fact that the board are gambling with CL qualification just because the signings we have made aren't household names to some fans but in actual fact we have already made signings that BR wants. One poster claimed it was BR that was dithering so which is it? Everybody is just guessing! I'm surprised Lawwell's name hasn't been dragged into it, oh wait.

Well said jfp, i couldn't have put it better myself, all the panty wetters keep getting upset when anyone mentions spending money on decent quality players, all the hoarded money just sitting gathering them more interest that they'll never spend, it's not the people's club now, it's a bunch of capitalist's making themselves richer, to the detriment of what's happening on the playing field.

One way we would have a say is nobody buy club merchandise and if push comes to shove then don't renew your season tickets. All the old timers on here will tell you what we did about the Kelly's and whites back in the day . We made our disapproval known. That's what this breed of fans need to do . Stop moaning on website and do something if your not happy. You can moan all you want on here but it won't achieve anything. You need to make your voices heard and make it loud and clear.
