Squad for next season?
GK’s - Sinisalo, Maybe Schmiechel.
DF’s - Ralston, Johnston, CCV, Rocky, Scales, KT, another LB and RB required.
MID - McCowan, Hatate, CalMac, Engels, Bernardo, Midfield enforcer required.
Wingers - Jota, Maeda, Kuhn maybe? So more wide players needed.
ST - Maeda/ Idah Kenny.
I reckon we need 7 players. Get rid of the rest like Palma, Welsh, Tillio, Gustav etc.
We need to spend big for the forward areas I reckon and midfield enforcer is a must.
£30/ 40 million is probably what it would take and nowadays I don’t think that’s a bad outlay for what we would gain.

According to Transfermarkt,
Celtic have made a transfer profit in 6 out of the last 7 seasons.
During that period Celtic have made approximately €45M transfer PROFIT.
Since Scottish football became showjumping in 2012,
Celtic have made a transfer profit of €60M.
That’s not taking into account all the extra transfer income Celtic have received from clauses in future sales from VVD and Frimpong Etc.
Celtic won’t spend £30M-£40M in the transfer market when the money men are looking for their annual dividend from shares.
Celtic have a BUSINESS model that won’t change under this current regime.
I’m not complaining because Celtic have been extremely successful domestically but I agree we need to move up gears if we want to gain more in Europe.
I can’t see the Celtic Board showing your ambition which is frustrating.

This squad needs a really big refresh. We all need that. Engles in my humble opinion should go. Should get our money back on him. Hatate also. I think with what they would bring in, along with all the other usual suspects then we can really improve in areas we all know have been put off for far too long.

Why would we buy a midfield enforcer to sit on bench or maybe worse still to be in the stand .
BR is one of many successful managers who doesn’t play with a midfield enforcer. Just because some fans may like the idea. , doesn’t mean BR has to change his whole team tactically to play one .
I would like a cb better than CCV .
Hatate is probably our most creative midfielder and we need to do our best to keep him . A top of our range front 3 player who can play in all three positions is a must .
I hope we don’t bring in 7 first team players as it would be very difficult to maintain our excellent team work and team spirit.

Hatate and Engels get lots of flack, I agree with your thoughts on Hatate. In the trenches at the Debt dome, he's not there. That's my barometer. Dare I say our Captain (I have loads of respect for what he's done for our club) seems to be Mr Untouchable yet over the piece in the season just ended, is part of the mediocrity. So we can reel off the usual names who can be replaced. The time has come I think for BR to seriously look at replacing Calmac.

I'd love it if we started next season with Calmac playing an advanced role - which I think he's much better suited in. But i can't see it, so for me I'd like to get another midfielder in who can play the DM role to a higher level. Unfortunately, with Calmac being the captain then he plays. Simple as that. Some of the football this season (and before BR left the last time) was so turgid and predictable. We need better footballers who are comfortable on the ball and capable of playing fast-flowing football.
Daizen has peaked in my opinion. I love the guy don't get me wrong, but lately he has shown us the old Daizen where he's not technically a good player. His work ethic and tracking back are second to none and will definitely suit certain games, but he's not a first choice player.
We're crying out for a new CB partnership as well as a first choice striker.
A lot of work to be done!

Why do we need another RB when we have Johnston and Raslston? Spend £30-40m in one window lol talk sense we play in the SPFL! Good players don't need to cost £10+ million, good scouting to find bargain gems is the real challenge!

I can see offers coming in for CCV, Hatate, Kuhn and possibly others.
Forrest IMO, shouldn't be anywhere near the squad, he's done.
Yang should go out on loan.
At the least we could use;-
* x2 starting CB's
* LB
* Midfielder (possibly from Motherwell ?)
* Striker
