Ange had a decent reputation with some success at club and International management, Nancy doesn;t seem to have achieved very much (although a younger man) . Huge gamble IMO.

A gamble is far too generous.
DD and his "board" are out of touch, incompetent and dysfunctional…. Without a semblance of decency or governance.
No football department, no recruitment strategy, no investment, no communication with fans…. But plenty of arrogance.
We have been unprepared for CL for 10-15 years. A SPL club with 20% of our budget are ahead of us in the league.
We then appoint a manager with no real experience…. Mid season… baffling at best.

Mls expert on sly earlier absolutely raving about how good he is and his style of football Al take their opinion over anyone on here who knows nothing about the guy.

Ed it was sly that had the guy on nothing to do with them giving an opinion, the guy apparently is an expert on the mls, he seemed to know his stuff and was very complimentary about him,

Don't take the bait MT, I'm half kind of winding you up, the thing is, all we have to go on is people's opinions because we don't really know much about him and what is out there is sketchy. I asked Ed001 to do an article about Nancy when we were first linked with him and honestly, it's the first person in football I've ever asked him about in near on 16 years and he didn't have an opinion on him because he didn't know much about him at all. that was an immediate red flag for me from a footballing nerd like Ed001.
I'll back anyone that comes in to manage Celtic but I'd be lying if I said I'll be happy with this appointment - are you confident of Nancy taking us up a level in Europe? Forget the "oh if he gets backed by the board" stuff, has Nancy as a manager/coach done anything to warrant being even considered for the Celtic job?
I had my doubts about Knutsen & Nicky Hayen because those clubs are built for continued success, it's not all about THEM as manager/coach but Nancy is just so underwhelming. And as for the talk about getting bargains from the MLS, there isn't many of them about the way their contracts are and Nancy has never been in charge of recruitment at any club, at Montreal the owner picked the team & tactics, which involved a lot of diving in the area and time wasting.
