I think I seem to be the only one who is looking forward to seeing what Iheanacho brings. Under Rodgers at Leicester he was good, with flashes of brilliance. I think he'll do well and Rodgers is right in saying we're getting a striker in his peak years.

We definitely should have been investing properly, and that lies squarely with three men at the top, but let's get behind the team now and not tear strips of players before they get a chance to show us what they can do. Even Larsson struggled at first - not that Iheanacho is going to hit those heights.

It was too soon to throw Balikwisha in, especially on old firm day. Tounekti looks a player, Nygren is never a winger (Rodgers tactics were shocking in that game - should have had Forrest playing there and Nygren where he is comfortable i. e., keeping Engels on the bench) , and the rest will come good. I also want to see what young Osmand can do when he gets the chance.

Here's to the season ahead and hopefully drastic changes to the board in the immediacy (can but hope) .

Hail hail! ?.

I'll give all our new signings a chance, no snap judgements.

I think the reaction to recent results is a bit OTT, if Maeda sticks his chances away against Kairat we win both games comfortably, he'd have tucked them away no problem last season. We were never in any danger of losing either game.

As for Sunday, I'll always take a draw at Ibrox regardless form or expectation. Last season our first game at Ibrox we got thumped 3-0 so it's an improvement on that. Again we were never in any danger of losing the game, we were just devoid of pace and creativity up front. And I agree Rodgers got it wrong, I'd have went with Maeda, Yang and Kenny up front - our quickest front 3.

We need an explanation as to what went on in the transfer window, and I think someones heads got to roll for it, clearly our current process doesn't work. But talk of boycotts and the like is just insane. We are top of the league and reigning champions. But all that is secondary to the team on the park, we need to get behind the manager and the squad and look forward to another a successful season.

I agree Paddy - hopefully he will turn out to be a good signing.

On Balikwisha, it probably was a bit early to throw him in, but if he hadnt BR would have been criticised, so he couldn't really win (unless we did haha)

I was happy when the deal went through at the last minute because he gives us another option.

Hopefully we’re all pleasantly surprised and Iheanacho makes a big difference.
I’m sure everyone from top to bottom at Celtic will be thinking the same.

Seems a strange move to only sign a player who has value on a one year deal. Especially if he is at his peak years. Doesn’t fill me with confidence but I will have an open mind until he makes My mind up for me. I had higher hopes for Idah but I’m glad to see the back of him in the end.

Twin if BR is for the off at the end of the season you really think he’d want to stay at Celtic beyond that, I believe he only signed for us because of BR and the potential of no other offers, the club has an option of an extra year that i doubt they will take if BR leaves, the deal clearly benefits both player and club if BR decides not to extend his stay which I don’t think he will do at this point. HH.

Celtic have the option of an extra year with Iheanacho.

I think the only reason the sanctioned s deal for Iheanacho was because BR is away in the summer and so will be be. So the board didn't want to spend decent money on a new cf for the next manager to not rate him or wants his own guy in there imo.
