If it's true the Baur deal is off/ stalled over £500k or thereabouts it sums up MN. And why o why can we sell players pronto but take an age to get anything over the line. So much for getting players in early to integrate them into the squad. Gambling with CL qualification yet again and we know how that ended previously.

. and the selling of players quick smart rubbishs the nonsense delays the board says working wirh agents causes. We cause the delays. The end.

I don't think the Baur deal is off Chinks, I think his club are playing hardball (and rightly so) . If the defecit is only £500K or so, I'd like to think we'll get this over the line before other clubs get a sniff.

I agree with you though re how protracted our transfer dealings, when buying players, seems to be.

Perhaps if the talks for some of the players we're in for weren't leaked, it would be a little easier as a supporter.

I have a feeling that’s not the case. I bet it’s to do with the structure of the deal and add ons.

Just a guess.

I always worry that every time we do this - and it happens often - we lose out to other more efficient and proficient clubs. There's also the possibility of self-satisfaction and arrogance after the amount paid in the Hogh deal; ie: that's yer lot.

How do you know we sell players quickly?

Is it not the case that the time you hear about a player to potentially leaving until when they actually leave is just short. However, that does not tell you how long negatiations have taken.

Looks like his club rate him and for 4mill think they could use him over losing for nothing, Celtic just need to watch that other clubs don’t come calling on this one, if player wants to come then sometimes paying a bit more to convince that player shouldn’t be an issue, what I would say is perhaps his club had agreed an exit fee with agent that now went up, in those instances clubs like Celtic especially when reo and Engels still in building are maybe right playing waiting game.

Maybe let player force it a bit his side. I've a feeling Celtic took the 10 mil for Daizen not just out of respect for him but also because he was making all the noises that he wanted to go,

Just read a post saying he’s pushing for move his side, he definitely reads my comments.
