North curve statement:
Until there is meaningful change in personnel and culture within the Celtic hierarchy then there will be no sustained unity across the club.
Could t agree more. ?.

Weejoe just read a click bait site, stating Keane has jetted out abroad for some Liverpool charity thing.
Claiming he has asked for the weekend to discuss with his misses taking the job due to hassle and objections from the fans?
He must see the backlash against him surely.

Until he is appointed and unveiled outside Celtic park with many thousands of fans howling and booing we will not know the extent of the 'backlash'. Assuming the 'backlash' is because he managed in Israel.
How will that pan out? Would there, will there, be huge numbers of Celtic fans venting abuse at his unveiling? That will be interesting to see if Keane is given the job.

He would be stupid to take the job in my opinion. Several supporter groups have made public statements in opposition to his appointment. He would be coming into a divided club, with the most vocal section of our fanbase against him and I could see him getting a worse time of it than Nancy got.
i personally don't think it would be possible to win fans over, even if he were to be successful, as it is a matter of principle.

4 leaf. My objection to Keane isn't the isreal thing ( I watch a lot of american politics/ Iran lately and started getting knowledge about Palestine) its about his lack of experience. I would prefer a manager who is older? Managed a few clubs / different leagues and is not on learning journey. There must be mangers out there better, who aren't Irish.
{Ed007's Note - McKenna... and he IS Irish into the bargain!!

Ed007 dd / board don't have that ambitious tendency. He would require Rodgers like demands/ backing.
Mon and Keane as understudy would be this squad minus big sales and project players. Mckenna would want / command more.

Lets just get James Mcclean in as manager.

The fact we haven't replaced Tisdale with someone with a proven track record, which they now have had 6 months to the day to do so, makes the rebuild for any potential manager very difficult.
The fact the board room are like a local building society keeping hold of guys in power whom have no beneficial input into modern football, along with no backbone to oppose the man with the biggest share, will leave the club miles behind where we as fans expect it to be.
Recruiting the new manager in visibly showing what the recruitment of new players will be like, same agents, same links, same outcome.
Even the Celtic fc site can't even acknowledge when players leave, its so amateurish.
I take it because of the ridiculous nature of the last AGM the guys in position simply are not accountable for their roles?
Its hard to blame them, if you were rubbish at your job and were picking up a wedge you wouldn't quit, but there has to be at least guys brought into the building to fill roles that have been left absent for considerable time now.
I do think MON has the job, I can't see the board allowing Welsh to terminate his contract with a year left, after a good season at motherwell, I would imagine that's down to someone like MON who would of told the board its the right thing to do, could be wrong.

Got to agree that Keane would be stupid to take it, a manger needs to come in under a fanfare of excitement and promises, I think he made a mistake going there and shows poor judgement on his part and I could be wrong but not sure after he’s left if he’s condemned or said anywhere he regrets it, -is he even good enough compared to what i'd perceive as “out there”, I get the Irish/ Celtic connection and like it if its applicable but just not sure this is,
Israel aren’t the only persecutors around, there’s plenty of other countries with quite frankly shocking human rights records that had he been working in most wouldn’t have batted an eyelid at that aspect of his past,
There’s lots of people that don’t share our fans views or politics or the songs they sing, I’m not seeing our managers moving on and having our fanbase political views held against them, it’s the old politics football mix that some want to rid the game of but does it not give certain teams identity,
I’m uncertain on it all, i 100 percent agree that principle of not making Keane appt is correct, but he’s just a football manager who was working, and then there’s the thinking of that principle is correct then do fans look into who Celtic bank with, partner with on retail, take investment from, buy players from, my open mindedness definitely blurs my opinion.

Ed, McKenna clearly isn't on DDs contact list on his mobile!
