Here is the exact rule taken direct from IFAB "laws of the game- law 12.
"It is an offence if a player… scores in the opponents’ goal directly from their hand/ arm or immediately after the ball has touched their hand/ arm, even if accidental. "
IFAB rule says the goal is disallowed and a direct free kick awarded to defending team.
I've not watched the game so don't know if it did or didn't touch Hibs players hand/ arm. However, if it did and VAR confirms that, they must disallow goal. Failure to do so, is evidence of either incompetence, bias or cheating.

I mentioned yesterday Joe that Don Rob should not have been given that appointment last Tuesday morning only 2 days after Sending off 2 Hibs players.

The ball rolled down the arm that was tucked into his side and definitely brushed his hand before it dropped for him to shoot.
VAR is supposed to clarify and correct wrong decisions - like when 'Red-Card Ross' tried to disallow Maeda's goal but the amount of questionable and incorrect key conclusions VAR makes is happening far too often.
In Scotland we are quick to point at the 'honest mistake' mob now operating as a corrupt committee; but having watched highlights over the season from other leagues, VAR is almost raising as many questions as answers and matches are being influenced and results can be affected.

var yesterday said insufficient evidence, and allowed the goal, feck sake what typec of technology are they using these days, Dermott Gallagher ex English Referee has said that Liam Scales had considered to handle the ball, but didn't, Now we have ex English Referees that are now mind readers.

VAR are the only ones not to see the handball even BFKB nearly choked when he also agreed that goal should never have been allowed. Also a penalty decision against us wasn’t even reviewed. The Tory “Red Card, Red Card” flagging our goal offside, when it wasn’t.
As usual it’s us against the opponents and the SFA authorities.

Only seen highlights yesterday and noticed Touneki pushed a hibs player out park and a freek kick was awarded, Nygren incident was more blatant but nothing awarded ??♂️.

To be fair to the Don the fact the ball hit both his arm and then his hand may have caused him sufficient confusion when dissecting the rules.

That stupid push led to Hibs goal, allowed them to lob the first ball into our box. I cursed him as soon as he pushed the guy because it was near half time and we can be very sloppy defending.

Leeds Celt I honestly can't understand why we never got a penalty for that 2 handed push, It was so blatant so obvious I can't understand why more people on TV aren't talking about it. If it's not a clear penalty could someone please explain to me why it's not? Sly car show never covered it also.

I get hiw Maeda goal was flagged fir offside, it was close call so I'm not going to be to critical of that.
But the push on NYgren, no one is even mentioning. John Collins was highly critical of VAR for not even looking at it. Anywhere else in the pitch that's a foul. As stupid Tounetki foul showed.
Hibs goal, how on earth that was inconclusive is beyond me.

@buzz - don Robertson and Dickinson are the two worst refs to officiate our games. Used to be beaten but he improved. So agree that he should not have been in charge.
