Regardless of who comes in Monday (if fekin ANYBODY)

We all know a total revamp of how we try to sign players is needed, Nicholson, Tisdale etc are either unwilling or incapable of negotiating for players, throw in our majority shareholder, who does not give a flying f^^k and therein lies the problem.

Come the summer we can only hope our new manager has the balls to reorganise whole transfer structure.

{Ed007's Note - And what happens is 2/3 years time when the manager moves on, does the next guy reorganise it all over again?}

Agree3 Disagree4

I had a chuckle when Lennon said no issues with transfers during his time. Considering the amount of dross signed during his time it’s not hard to believe. For every VVD we had 10 honkers.

Stuck in the dark ages with recruitment.

How would you solve that issue Ed?

{Ed007's Note - Start with appointing a proper DOF to run the footballing department, allow him to modernise and restructure the entire operation.}

gary hooper anthony stokes wanyama joe ledley fraser foster beram kayal liegh griffiths elhammed nior bitton frimpong mulgrew daniel majstorovic emilo izzaguire mikel lustig tom rogic stephan johansen greg taylor Van dyke. some top signings in there mate not all to dross pap in the dross his total net spend was 63 million not to shabby bishoptonbhoy suppose nothing like a negative spin on things.

as ed pointed out a proper DOF is the way foward.

Can’t see the present incumbents relinquishing control to anyone who’d show them up for the incompetent A holes they evidently are. Do our leaders have the foresight or humility to allow that, or do they need gone first?

{Ed007's Note - They gave Tisdale control....

The sensible answer and one DD and MN either ignore and put their fingers in their ears when its said out loud.

That is only way we as a club can move forward efficiently and professionally, and be successful.

Anyone who thinks what we currently do is professional and world leading, has got one of Donald Trumps speeches playing in their ear.

Even other SPFL teams are embarrassing us with how they do their business. Sell a player, buy a player, need a player, simple buy a player.

Our strategy, get someone in the media say we are interested in a player, play this same song all through the window and at the end, get a loan, no one else wants.

ED007 surely any manager worth his salt would want to implement a new structure not just for his time at club but for future managers, as long as it was all thought through properly and implemented by club hierachy.

{Ed007's Note - So a manager comes in, sets up his new fancy structure for him and future managers, the next future manager comes in and says he doesn't like it and wants to change things, then what?
It's not down to managers to do these things, what does a manager know about running a scouting a department or a sports science department? Do you think Mourinho goes into clubs and rips up their structures does Real Madrid and Barca rip it all up and start again any time they change manager?}

31 Jan 2026 15:36:47
Totally agree here. Our sports science and youth set is woeful and full of jobs for the lads. We should be all over the psychology aspect as I've mentioned before. Even championship sides in England in like Coventry have a full psych department. All based on AC Milan psych structure from 1990s buna guy called Bruno Demichelis, really interesting guy, how they sculpted players like maldini.

Big Jock implemented a massive change in club structure as did Fergie at Manchester United
A proper thought out plan for everyone to follow but with space for "tweaking" of it.

{Ed007's Note - How many years ago was that? Football has moved on massively since then, look at the state Arsenal ended up in under Wegner - look at the state we're in because we don't have the proper structure in place.}

31 Jan 2026 16:42:07
We are a shambles, even the ugly sisters have got better setups than us yet we are the wealthiest club in the country.

31 Jan 2026 16:54:47
They will appoint O'Neil as DOF in the summer as they have no vision. A blind man can see he is the glue holding things together. Nicholson McKay and Co are inept at transfer dealings past and present.

31 Jan 2026 18:10:10
United - maybe that’s where we differ.

Your list for me has 5 good players, 1 has really excelled since leaving us.

We all have our views on players so will leave it at that.
