I wonder if lawwell will remain at our club and will be sidelined until the heat dies down and then reinstated. This happened before, so is not beyond the realms of possibility.
I reckon he has stood down to try and take some of the heat away from the board and manager and to try and shift blame to those pesky fans.
Well I for one won't be falling for it and will keep my cross hairs aimed at the board for the damage they are causing.
We need to keep the heat on them until these parasites are removed.

Seriously wee Joe, even when you have a win and have Lawwel gone your still not happy.
If he was doing it to take heat off the board, he definitely wouldn't have resigned midweek on a match day, with two days trading left at the stock exchange.
Language like "cross hairs" is pathetic and ridiculous, especially after the threats lawwel said his family received yesterday. Few people need to take a breath here and wise up.
Before you start too, I'm not a board apologist, just realistic and able to look at the bigger picture which also includes the good things lawwel did. He's stayed around too long to become the bad guy.

On sept 1st, board apologised for an awful window, accepted despite efforts they've failed, commit funding and backing January, announced a split in board where new football minded people would be brought in to support the manager, bring structure to football matters and a clear plan for football affairs going forward,
I feel a bit sorrry for lawell but he's had too long and over stayed his welcome so in that sense I don't, as I've said long ago I think where we are now was avoidable, fact board didn't avoid it shows there times up.

I should also point out that these threats and abuse claims are unsubstantiated unless you consider some wee posters on a round about as threats and abuse. ?.

Lawwells departure, while welcomed by me does nothing to resolve the problems at Celtic as the Desmond's remain behind the wheel, so nothing is going to change.

Ed, I agree with you in 95% of things . I never said the fans collective were involved in anything. Fair enough, he might not have said his family were threatened. I stand corrected on that, but it's a stretch to say they wouldn't be impacted with things. Something changed last few days for him to go midweek.

I think you are misquoting me Dr Phil as I have been quite clear that I want Dermot gone and I added his son to the list after his verbal attack on fans at the AGM. I have said many times that sacking the board is pointless unless Desmond goes or changes his over conservative strategy. I even proposed that one way to resolve the issue would be for him to send his shares to the fans.
So while I want the board gone, Desmond is top of the list.
