crazy scenes were do we go from here. ill say the board running the club as a business is doing a great job. but as a football club a giant club in the hearts of fans who want to be feared again in Europe they have no ambition turning a profit and domestic success there more than happy.
all that had to be done in the summer transfer window was 2 or 3 real quality signings who would kick us on and 3 or 4 squad additions at decent quality with some players moving on who had ran there race at the club. this could and should have been done but its been the story to often and now its the revolt of the fans who remember the euro glory days and understand just how big we can and should be.

It's not the board's fault that some of the signings the former manager approved were not the real quality we needed to strengthen the team. It's not the board's fault the former elite manager couldn't find a way past lowly minnows Kairat.

It is the boards fault, they hired the manager, and you're still not getting it. They have made it very plain that every decision made is made by them as is their policy. So regardless of what you think
IT IS THE BOARDS FAULT!

They admit they made mistakes but in any other business, repeatedly making the same mistake would result in you being replaced with someone competent.
Their mistakes are costing us progression in Europe and financially and are allowing domestic clubs the opportunity to catch us.
Are they mistakes or incompetence, to sell your striker, right winger without first getting replacements in, and to add to that, taking in 2 players for the same position, which gives us 5 players on one wing.
I think we found out today that DDs son will, when he takes over his shares, run things the same way his father runs us, even though we have a board and he doesn't own us.
MON summed it up, it is a real shame what happened today and what would Jock think about this.

Said countless times, there won't be any changes at board level while 53000 season tickets are being sold.

Our CFO gave an interview and said that it would be presumptuous to think we should be in the CL each year. Shows his lack of belief in our ability to progress and be a regular CL participant.
He said that in a few years, thanks to the coefficient the champions of Scotland will have 3 qualifying rounds to play and 2nd place will have 3 qualifying rounds for the Conference League, with no Europa.
Surely planning and investing properly would give us the best chance to qualify and increase the coefficient.
His argument around prudence and building cash reserves just in case, gives us the best chance of progression, is nonsense, only proper planning and real investment would give us the best chance of success and progression.
No one wants them to spend everything the club earns, that would be suicide but to try and not have any negative spend each window, is impossible to maintain, you will eventually reduce the quality of player we are taking in, which in turn will weaken the team and lead to selling players for 15-20 million being a thing of the past.
Our slippery slope is just up ahead and we are racing blindly towards it.

The real damager for the club and board is apathy sets in amongst the fans.
21 Nov 2025 18:43:02
I don't think the fans expect to qualify every season but we do expect the club to invest in recruitment and get the manager the players he needs before the most crucial game of the season.

Bhoy88. Wit u blabbing on about they were the signings from the season before you have to strengthen every season. And yeah we spent last season and tbh we had a good season last year domestically and in Europe so it shows if you spend it helps u do well. And they never done that and sold our main striker just before window closed.
As for the season before Idah bagged 20 goals so he done what he was brought in to do. Not qualifying for the champions league is on Rodgers no one else I agree. But the board show no ambition.

I feel the collectives alignment with gb is deflecting from the collectives rightly so feelings and issues, the gb have there own anti establishment agenda, that any new board and owner would more than likely find out also, as they think there above other Celtic, fans, other football fans, its no excuse for boards horrendous actions today by the way, but the noise from people such as gb is faning flames to a fire that I don't think can be put out, sack this board is not the same as the old sack the board,
{Ed007's Note - The Collective doesn't have any alignment as such with the GB, the Collective is a group of over 400 supporters clubs and fan media sites etc who have came together because they are not happy with the way the Club has - and is still -being run.
The board are deflecting everything back onto the GB and now hinting/threatening at more collective punishment for other fans. Look at the AGM footage, how many of they old bunnet wearing guys are in the GB?
The Collective are 100% in the right to back the GB members against their treatment by the board and by Police Scotland.}

We signed 11 players this summer, it's not the boards fault some of them didn't strengthen the team. That fault lies solely with the manager who gave his approval to sign them!

I don't normally respond to your posts as I agree with other posters that you are just a troll, however I can't let this one go.
Last week you were advocating that the players signed were quality and you blamed BR for not playing them while neglecting to say MON followed suit.
Now you're saying they didn't strengthen the team.
You are an outstanding example of an empty vessel making the most noise.

I can't argue on it Ed, I think because the collective exists with gb perhaps a vocal visual element of this protests etc it's hard to say there not aligned, I don't know the circumstances of that day yet, but the way they reacted wasn't right imo, ( in principle the way u put it of them sticking up for there pal because the way he was treated ) seems on face of it quite a good thing for them to do, the other side of that is they didn't like that there mate was being ejected after an altercation with a club staff member and they intervened to stop it, the fact that the ban is for another suspension and not actually that incident tells us there's a continued issue with that group, and that group have continually and always had issues with club regardless of any issues the collective now has, the collective backing the gb on issues like the one before old firm and other away games where police have singled them out etc is on face of it also correct, but we are in mess right now where we are asking a board to take responsibility and to self reflect, how much self reflection do u think the gb have ever done, they can be the diehard ultras, they can be the voice of the crowd, they can be atmosphere, and get all the plaudits they deserve, but they also want to be able to do what they want to do regardless of rules etc .
That's my opinion rightly or wrongly, your not wrong for yours, but these conversations we are all having is not about our football team, it's not about our players or future manager, when for me that's what football is about, this is admittedly a rabble of nonsense by the way in my part as at times I don't know what side I'm on, why because I just want my team winning games and none of this helps that,
{Ed007's Note - The GB are just a bunch of young lads out enjoying themselves at the football - do I agree with everything they do, no I don't - but see if our board, the media and even worse some of our own support didn't have a chip on their shoulder over them, it wouldn't be THAT big a deal. The UEFA fines are used by a stick to beat the GB but we've had fines all over the stadium for lateral movement, blocked staircase - even in the South Stand that one - and wrong sized bibs or adverts on bibs, some BS like that. I'm 51, I've done crazy stuff at football youngsters like the GB could only dream of, it's not that big a deal imo.
I'll be on a Zoom meeting thing on Monday night with the Celtic Collective, there will be 2 GB members involved at most, one at the meeting in Grace's and one on Zoom maybe, they're hardly running the show with the Collective.}

Is Bhoy88 PL in disguise?
