I am not by anyway sticking up for BR BUT seriously do you think he was backed in the team? Did he not bother about a right winger or a striker just for two positions. Does anyone really think he never asked or wanted both those positions filled in the last window? IMO that's backing a manager. Not waiting for the window closing and bring in a free transfer and not bother to bring in a right sided winger what he really wanted was 2 left sided wingers is that what some people really think? I don't think he was backed at all but I could be wrong.
Maybe his own personal reputation didn't matter to him and was happy with the way Celtic conducted the past at least two windows .

I'm not sure he personally was backed, I do however think club had a transfer policy he knew about and went along with and he stubbornly refused to work with, and they caught up with him the board and us all.

I've said many times on here that fans only think a manager has been backed if his signings turn out well but forget the millions wasted on his dud signings. Rodgers behaviour has completely tarnished his legacy, imo he is regarded as one of the worst managers in our history and good riddance.

The money spent oan transfers, that according to Rodgers himself, he had final say on is massive Tony. Broke the transfer record on 2 or 3 times. Absolutely wasted several talented players playing them out of position.

BuzzBomb has already posted the numbers on what BR spent and the amount the club made from the players sold during his time as manager - I think the nett amount was +£40M in profit.
Whether you or anyone else on the site likes or doesn't like BR, that's your opinion, which is fine, but the transfer figures don't lie.
This summers transfer window was a ? show, hence why the biggest supporters clubs in the land are all up in arms, as well as many of your fellow posters on this forum, myself included.

I agree with you Kev on that But what I am trying to say is I really don't believe that he got the backing that was required. I can't see for one minute that he never asked for a striker or a right winger to say the least but got none of them. Yes if the players that have come in were all BR players then for sure he has waisted a lot of money.
All teams bring in poor signings maybe not as many as we have in the past few years? But I don't think the board are squeaky clean in the situation Celtic are in at the moment.

Mally he said in his opinion Brendan is one of our worst manager's, not much of an opinion when the stats show Brendan as our 4th most successful manager.
