DD please sanction a realistic bid for John McGinn in January.
Pay a fair price and bring a real winner to Paradise.
{Ed007's Note - McGinn turns 31 next week and has won 2 trophies in his entire career, he had his chance to play for Celtic and blew it and now his legs are going he wants to come to us, he can pi$$ off - maybe a move back to Hibs or even Ibrox would be better for him.}

McGinn’s contract doesn't expire until 2027.
He’s still a huge player for Villa which makes getting him sooner near impossible.
I’m not sure Celtic fans would want a near 33 year old box to box midfielder.
Like Ed mentioned John had his chance.
Only John McGinn can answer the question when he retires.
He’s been very successful with Villa in the most lucrative league in the World but would he have swapped that for all those major honour he would’ve won with Celtic and to play in Europe every season.

I just checked.
John McGinn has currently missed out on 15 major honours and counting because he chose not to join Celtic and several European campaigns.

I did post 'Bid a fair price in January' he is not 33 in January.
He is still (in my opinion) better than we have at present.
We don't know why he went to Villa- perhaps they offered Hibs more money and offered McGinn double the wages?

He agreed to join us the night of broonys testimonial against Ireland xi. He met Rodgers and deal was done. Club agreed a fee with Hibs and were waiting on it being announced when window opened, with an agreement in place that hibs wouldn't accept further bids. Lennon then met Steve Bruce at a golf event and told him brown was leaving and that put villa in picture. Rest is history. Bottom line, he had his chance and chose villa over us.

McGinn is a professional footballer. He is obviously going to join a club that pays the higher wages. Times gave changed fellow fans. He would be on far more money at Villa than with Celtic. Unfortunately that's the way it is.

Just because he is coming to the latter stages of his career, like Andy Robertson, these stories come out that they would love to play for Celtic.
If you live our club so much, come play for us when your in your peak and not declining, when at a certain age your choices are lower EPL team or Championship team.
The fact that some players think just because they have played at the top of the EPL, it doesn't mean when it's coming towards the end, your still good enough, and have some kind of right to play for Celtic, because your a fan.

The old KT is the best left back I’ve seen in the last 40 years but he’s sadly not that same player.
My ticket for the Braga match was about 5 rows from the back of the Upper Stand and you can see things clearly.
There was an incident where KT had the chance to break through the ranks but he must’ve knew he never had the legs and he never attempted the run.
I was gutted because I knew then that KT was not that same player and everything is too slow and easy pass crap.

I loved a young KT but he currently couldn’t lace big Tam Boyd’s boots.
