I’m not a betting man but I’ll have a fiver on us having had our striker chips and that Yamada is the Celtic board’s idea of Kyogo’s replacement and a first choice striker. As outrageous as that sounds.

I think Idah and yamada will be 2 of our strikers next season.
What remains to be seen is if Rodgers sees Kenny or osmand as number 3 or we buy someone else.
Based on the rumours that Kenny may be off I would say we will bring someone else in but that is just a guess at this moment.

Hi JFP, agreed, also I and others here have always said that the board transfer bucket is leveled to our nearest domestic opponents rather than the European competition/ ambition. Looking like that theory is the norm now. Hope to see you in paradise again soon John mo chara. ✊???.

We all know the script by now, a few low ball offers for a couple of players near the end of the transfer window, then the claim we tried to get a few in but it wasn't to be.

I’m thinking of going in to the Celtic shop next Sunday and offering £20 for the new £75 home tap. When I’m asked ‘Whit? ’ I’ll be telling them I’ll be back next week and al mibi up it to £25. When I’m asked why I’m wasting everybody’s time offering a third of the asking price ma answer will be - ‘You feckn started it - ask the board’.

I fear JFP is on the money regarding our first team strikers.
Don't get me wrong Idah and our latest Japanese import, could well combine to score a barrowoad of goals and I hope they do.
But BR's words were telling and he's been here before. For the life of me, I cannot believe our board are doing this to him for the second time.

We don’t know the exact positions we need. To fill . All we have heard is BR saying we needed more signings especially in the front end of team .
It will be a major surprise if Yamada isn’t a very good free scoring striker with Idah number 2 and both Kenny and young lad from Fulham kept until at least January before either or both go on loan and another striker signed .
Pit was said when Paul Tisdale was signed that among the markets he knew well was Japan and he may well have found us two gems this window .
BR is doing what he has done from at least his time at L’pool moaned about not getting the number and quality of signings . There probably very few top managers of successful teams who don’t feel they get enough quality signings but most keep their. Complaints in house .
BR seems to like to associate with the negative never satisfied fans and constantly moans even though we have won 13 / 14 SPLs 5/ 6 trebles and a number of doubles + improvement in CL .
Our past success mean’s nothing if we don’t recruit and build our squad . We are currently just over half way through window and we need to continue as we have done so by adding to the probably 4 first team players we have signed.
We have no reason to believe the Board I isn’t as ambitious as BR and fans . The difference is how the ambition Is achieved. Fans would buy their ambitions.
BR would want to buy his way and ignore previous players bought that didn’t work out. Board happy enough to buy as long as we don’t have players recently purchased and still on our wages.
