I'm happy with our signings so far in terms of buying young, inexpensive prospects. Some will come good some may not. What we need now though is some 1st team ready quality additions in key areas, CH and CF are a must. And we should bid for Lennon M, if it's £5m then just pay it now or someone else will.

Thats a fact projects are all well and good but how many work out, brendan has stated often enough he wants to compete in the cl, we did well last season but we definitely need improvement at cb midfield and the wings and probably still striker.

I think our Board, Manager and fans want us to compete in the Champions league . I have no idea how B R feels but I am sure that our Board doesn’t want to buy our way into Champions League and if we fail have two or three players in dressing room with faces on them that would turn cream .
Instead of improving our team for SPL we have weakened by having a number of prima donnas who think they are far too good to go to Livingston& Ibrox on dreary evenings to play officials and home team .
We need to get behind our team, whether we think the Board and manager have done their best . If team fails, it is us fans who will be most heartbroken.

WHos the prima donnas the fact we've dominated scottish football for the best part of a quarter of a century dispels that the only year I remember prima Donna's was the cv year when eddy and a few downed tools.

We are building a squad that will be a lot better than last season.
Also the major signing for us will always be done towards the end of the window as these guys will always have more teams and more options and won't just jump at the first offer they get, especially if it's to Scottish football.

Penny pinching is different in different eyes . Buying young and buying cheap to some is penny pinching and others see it buying great young players for seasons to come. In fact a young player can suddenly become a star overnight.
Of course real penny pinching is selling off players who haven’t just made it and not replacing . Penny pinching in anyone’s eyes can only be judged after window is over . Celtic Board can’t be accused of penny pinching with all the various improvements in and around stadium and Lennoxtown.

Who knows, maybe the squad refinement at the moment is all in prep for a few key first team players to be signed? We have plenty of money in the bank, and we're making more with transfers. But we still have plenty in the squad that won't be in the picture that need moving on also. I know we need a quality CB partner for CCV, But we have Scales, Trusty who was a big outlay last season on the books, as well as the newly signed Inamura who may or may not be loaned out soon. Still players like Welsh, Kwon, Tilio and Palma who won't get near the starting 11. And Holm, who will be due back at the end of the year. We will get 3 or 4 in, maybe once CL qualification is secured (and the money that goes with it) we will get the real quality additions in we all want. As that's the biggest attraction for players coming to Celtic.

We all want to improve our ist team squad, Letterkenny, and that is what we are doing . Taking age and buying price into consideration doesn’t mean a lot when we haven’t had an opportunity to see the young players bought
play many games .
The top teams all over Europe seem to all be playing teenagers, so I wonder why not Celtic . We certainly haven’t an opportunity as fans to judge those bought this season so far.
There seems to be something wrong with a Celtic supporter who doesn’t appreciate money spent in and around our stadium, improvements in facilities for players and supporters.

We're not doing it with these signings so far, and a new pie stall doesn't interest me, the only thing that interesting me is keeping ahead of the bigot's.
