With the news that Kieran Tearney has re signed for Celtic, a spokesperson for Ross Hall Hospital has confirmed that the hospital has reached an agreement with Celtic to make available a room at the hospital 24/ 7 for Mr Tearney.
Also an ambulance will attend all the games the player is involved in to speed up the process of getting all his injuries attended to.

With the potential signing of Osmand, what happens to Kenny. He has scored well in the Conference league and has not really had a chance to prove himself.
Personally I don't think he is quality enough to fight for our number 1 striker. Sorry to the boy.
We have Maeda, Idah and Kenny. If the decision is that Maeda remains out wide, we surely cannot be going into next season with Idah, Kenny and Osmand as our 3 main strikers.
All 3 are still developing, so we need a striker who can hit the ground running, with 2 of those 3 providing support. And not an aged PL player who cannot get a game for his current team.
Kvistgaarden is going to cost far too much imo, which is why I think Strelec is much better value for money and has more European experience.
With KT, Doonan and Osmand, we have 3 new players who have cost nothing.
It will be very interesting what real business we do once the window actually opens.

It's baffling me as well. Kyogo was our main striker even when Idah was available and has never been replaced. This made me think Idah was the new number one - but BR moved Maeda to centre forward.
This had to be changed when Jota got injured and Idah got the nod.
Idah has done well, but may not be as prolific as Kyogo or Maeda whereas Kenny has rarely been given a chance.
Now having brought in another 'project' where does that leave us?
IMO we still haven't replaced Kyogo and are unlikely to after this, unless Kenny is on his way out?

Assuming Maeda stays, I’d expect him to play on the wing, especially with Jota likely out for the first half of the season.
Tierney, Doohan and Osmand won't have cost nothing, although we did not pay a transfer fee, they will all have got signing on bonuses and Osmand will require a modest development fee as well. That being said it is great business to get all 3 of them on the cheap.

What if Osmand turns out to be another Dembele? Just because you've never heard of him or he doesn't have a certain amount of letters in his name doesn't mean he isn't a decent player.

I think that Osmande should be an excellent signing . There is no significance in him been the first or 2nd signing of this summer .
Kenny had a good 2024 at Shamrock Rovers, playing in green and white hoops and scoring freely in FAI league and European Conference .
BR has had a long look at him as he has trained almost daily with our first team . Obviously BR hasn’t rated him good enough to play a regular role for us . He said when Kenny came back to us that he would monitor him carefully before deciding to keep him at club or go out on another loan .

How do you know what Tierney costs .
He ran out his contract as Arsenal were loath to offer him a new deal with a year or two left on his contract as they were concerned with the number of games he was missing through injury . He was on loan to a Spanish team who didn’t want to buy . With no satisfactory offers coming into Arsenal, KT decided to let his contract run down and avail of freedom of contract . That meant K T was able to negotiate with Celtic and a couple of EPL team and other club who wanted his signature.
We don’t know and won't know who offered him the greatest amount to transfer to him, nor who offered him the biggest wage .
K T may have opted to join Celtic, even if their offers were not the highest for either, getting him to sign contract, or for his wages as he had success with Celtic before.

I like Idah and he still has scope to develop but if we're serious we need a better striker. Certainly another one.

Hi all hope you are well. Apparently Tierney has offers from Everton and Juventus. Not sure any truth in it tho.

KT left a lot of money on the table to join Celtic. His priority isn't money.
{Ed007's Note - There were plenty of clubs willing to sign KT but he would have been a squad player at most of them in the "better" leagues because of his injury concerns/history. He would certainly have earned more money sitting on "top" clubs benches or even playing regularly at lower teams in those leagues in mediocrity or fighting relegation.

Ed
How many players actually turn the money down. Regardless how they would be utilised. KT deserves lots of credit choosing us over money.
Argument he left for money in the first place. Celtic were more than happy to get 25 million and let him leave.
{Ed007's Note - He does deserve credit for that and he's certainly going to have the spotlight on him and probably be under even more pressure than he felt when he was a youngster.}

Celtic Mad . Listening to BR before January window opened, he said that he had finally got the last say on who was signed . No one could be signed without his say so . After Kyogo left we were led to believe that Celtic had a number of strikers they were interested in . For various reasons, as far as we found out, buying of these players fell through and Celtic at the last moment couldn’t provide an another option for BR . In January we didn’t get a new striker, nor did we take a gamble and sign someone not fit for purpose .
In my opinion it wasn’t to our very last game that we missed Kyogo or his replacement . Maeda was in such super form, he played like 2 players a winger and striker, until it all caught up with him, it wasn’t just his very heavy football load that caught up with him in the end, but his baby was due in the wks before Cup final . He travelled to Japan and back on different occasions and finally the
tiredness and lethargy took over and Maeda was a mere shadow of himself in the Cup final . I am sure we will have, for us a top striker in for new season.
