The rich get richer while teams like us have to scramble against each other for crumbs off the table.
(making it harder for actual CHAMPIONS, to compete)
We are all members of the same Association (UEFA) and should be treated as equals.
How 1 Associate member can be allowed 5,6 or 7 clubs into the CHAMPIONS League (never mind the 4 associations who have been designated 4 slots each) is disgusting.

I think that being the prize gives the comp some substance especially how diluted it is with what the actual problem is - big five leagues dominating the numbers in cl, cl new format was great but there’s still a big issue for me with who gets in at start, personally I’m happy for a co efficient to determine if a team gets auto entry but the numbers of auto entry clubs/ countries should be expanded, it doesn’t seem right that a champion of say swiz needs to play off against a champion of say Scotland to get in and there’s auto entry to clubs coming 3rd and 4th, flip side is if the comp has to be “elite” then These teams are required and hard qualification required also, if your there you deserve to be there etc .

Your right Steff, both are very poor teams, neither of the 2 I don't think we would not beat.
One team defended for their lives and the other was totally clueless, unable to structure any form of attack. Awful game.
Yet they will head into the CL, while sitting 17th in PL.
If this doesn't put pressure on UEFA to close that loophole, nothing will.

So if Celtic won the Europa league and automatically qualified it would be corrupt?
No doubt smaller leagues are have an uphill battle with the coefficient system but this is just paranoia at its finest.
The prize is available to any team in the europa league who are good enough to win the competition. Clearly stated before a ball is kicked.

Going by several results and performances throughout the competition, I feel Celtic would do really well in that tournament.
Realistically though, it's all about hard cash no matter what level you are and the financial benefits of the CL no doubt help us maintain domestic dominance and hopefully attract better players?

UEFA is totally powerless as far as the construct Of who plays in Champions league . Only last minute intervention by are own PL, managed to get teams from the non big leagues the number of places in Champions league that we currently enjoy . The five big leagues who have by far the most money and individual leading clubs can attract far more sponsorships than other leagues can atttract in total .
Last night both finalists have players out on loan, didn’t make their EPL squad who collectively are worth more than our whole squad . By and large these teams control who play in Champions League . If UEFA want to look at who qualifies to play in it, it’s more than likely less from smaller leagues. If there is corruption it’s within the top 5 leagues.

To be fair, and I realise I'm taking things to extremes to make the point, if Queens Park won the Scottish Cup, they'd qualify for Europe.
