They're a mess but here's the rub. If the board continue to think only in a domestic context, I guarantee that within 5 years of walking our way to title after title, our fans will understandably tire of a predictable outcome each season leading to reduced demand for STs. The board need to turn their eyes to upping our game in Europe to keep the fan base interested and motivated to keep buying STs. Yes, I'll gloat at their demise as much as anyone but we need to look at the bigger picture. HH.

As long as we totally dominate them am happy, a would evn give up a cup to Hibs, Aberdeen ect as long as they win nothing. a know am propably at the mentality of our board but i just despise them, mb a wee run in Europe now and again ??♂️.

I don't think it works like that, although I hope it does so I can get my hands on a season ticket. There are plenty of fans waiting for a season ticket if anyone happens to get so bored of watching Celtic winning that they want to give up their ticket.

No chance.
Celtic have won the most honours of any club in Europe this millennium and our Supporters have continued to back our club.
Remember we also have over 10,000 on the waiting list.
Celtic will easily hit double figures in consecutive titles and there’s no way that will put our supporters off, probably the opposite.
The Celtic fans just need to enjoy this hugely successful period in our History.

Agree 9iar…. But not only do the board need to focus on upping our game in Europe for the fan base interest but just as importantly to keep BR interested.
I have said on here previously that he is not here a second time for domestic domination alone but to improve our standing in europe. If the board don’t match his ambitions he will be ofski!

Guys, we see it at most home games, empty seats coz the product is poor. Maybe ST holders putting their seats for resale may help but I think even now the empty seats are the early signs of a malaise setting in.

Our board have a big fish in small pond mentality and that's so blinkered it beggars belief.
By improving and investing in the infrastructure of the club at every level from Barrowfield through to each and every player in the first team, we can make inroads on the European level - the by product of this I'd domestic dominance.
Failure to do this and just stay ahead of the new club across the city, will only bring the standard of the Scottish league down (if that's possible) , meaning European football will be as much of a pipedream as attracting better players and coaching staff in the future.
For me personally that's a depressing thought and one that I'd hope a club like Celtic FC, with a once proud European pedigree, would look to avoid.

9 in a row.
I agree, but no matter how Board tries it will be beyond an SPL to get to Semi finals or finals of CL unless we are in a more competitive league.

We iterally do not have the money to compete at the top level in CL but our first target should be to qualify out of the group stage each year, that alone will give us the platform to possibly progress further and decent investment will be needed.
Also developing how we play. Our first half performance against Real shows we can play to a high level, unfortunately lack of experience in the 2nd half showed that we need to learn to play tighter and play the same defensive block that most teams play against us.
Cavalier attacking football wins in SPL but not in Europe.
Champions this year Real were played off the Park by Man City but dug in and scored with the few chances they created.
Huge investment isn't always needed, sometimes the right tactics at the right time, with good players can overcome great teams.

We're not expecting to get to semi finals and finals of CL, but it's not too much to ask to put a team on the park that's competitive in this environment, yes we'll take the odd drubbing from the mega rich clubs, if we can't make knockout stages of CL the least we should expect is EL knockouts. This is a competition we should be aspiring to go deep into and shouldn't be beyond us.

The only early signs of malaise will be when ST sales go down.
There’s always been empty seats at certain games and during poor weather months.
I wouldn’t read to much into that but I agree Celtic should’ve set up a resale on tickets years ago because the demand is still there.
Celtic usually announce a sell out in games weeks in advance, only to see empty seats.
The demand is there for a ticket resale scheme.

I for one would gladly take your season ticket 9iar if you'd be unhappy with domestic dominance mate, waiting list is torture, should've never gave up the opportunity to keep purchasing one 14 year ago when the first kid was on the way, the STs will be sold regardless.

What drives supporters away is rubbish football.
That is why numbers were down under Strachan, deila's second season, parts of Lennon's tenure and last season.
As long as the team is exciting, the fans, they will turn up. Obviously you have the die harda who will turn up regardless.
