Sorry ED007 and Pedro Mooy has not played since early January, and even Ange has said he will need time to get fully fit, Celtic need players ready to start in first team, so Mooy is a NO from me.

Tim, fair shout but you've got to trust Ange, his record on signing players so far has been superb.

If signed, he may well end up being the player for us that James McCarthy should have been ?

Guys like mooy will train himself away from football he wil rarely be out of condition except match games. so he wonT be far away. I hope we get him.

I agree with you he's not that up to date about Romano.
He's the same as us catching snipets reading between the lines etc. tben jumps in with news because most just wait on others doing the homework and think he's in the know.
Celtic release nothing or ange drops a hint.
FEW mates always sending links from this guy he is mostly wrong imo. I don't click on him.

@Mally and Pedro hope I am wrong, no doubting his ability just his fitness I was worried about.
Hopefully he has been keeping himself fit by himself, but 8 months no football he has a bit to go to get up to speed.

It’s probably unfair to say as Ange has barely got it wrong when it’s came to signing players but I think if it’s true then it’s a bit deflating to say the least. We need quality over quantity and going into the champions league having mooy, McCarthy and ideguchi as a back up to mcgregor isn’t very appealing.

I do get the logic with mooy, good experience, Ange knows how he plays and he’s on a free so it could be a good signing but the sheer lack of physical presence and height in this team now is what worry’s me. The amount of goals we lost last season through corners and free kicks was worrying and it looks like we’re in for more of the same this season, especially in Europe.

Tim as Andy says these guys train constantly and shouldn't take long, agree he's not played much but ange will know how to phase him in, think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Is this the same mooy who was at the buddies a few years ago. I don't much about the lad other than what I just said is he a good player and will be fit into our team.

Never seen the lad play but if he hasn't played since Jan and needs ages to get up to speed and he's 31 it's a bit underwhelming for me. Thought those days was behind us. Would rather we have signed someone big and physical as a plan B when the midfield is being bullied not another 5'9" lightweight player.

31 is not old especially in the position he playes.
Hes a bit of a warrior.
He's 31 looked after his body low in body fat good muscle tone and fit he has the body of a 25 year old and has the experience of a 31 year old. Let'
We can't compare to us mutants these guys are athletes who understand fitness Combi Ed with football is there life. So with out both they change carear.
But if you are over weight unfit drink over eat etc 31 plus add a few years as you will feel and act older than your age.
31 is still very young if you are fit etc all that I said above.
Ange and Harry know him well. Let's see what he can do and let's sign him first. Lols.
As for the height issue we don't get beat with that at celtic. It's a positional problem we have.
Im not sure but maybe Ed007 or buzz can answer how goals have celtic lost by the opposite team scoring with the head so I don't think that's an issue.
We eed Starfelt back as his heading etc from out of defence is good ye he has a mistake in him but does not every player. And don't get me going on Hart ?.

I don't know anything about the lad - but I suppose we should trust Sensei Angelos. He has identified a gap and shortcomming in our squad and is taking measures to correct it.

If he keeps making signings like O'Riley and Maeda then I won't complain.

One down - nine to go.
