I see Welsh is back in training. A transfer may be back on the cards. Surely moving him on will free up space for another CB signing.

A transfer would be best for all concerned. He is old enough that he should have his career settled at a club, and if he is good then he can push for a transfer to better/ club or league .
I don’t think a loan serves either him or Celtic as we have long enough to decide if we don’t want him and he needs to get the next part of his career settled at a.

We will look to add more depth in January. We have bought all We are going to buy in this window.

25 Jul 2025 18:50:53
Not a hells chance we get through this window without signing a 1st team player to add to the squad.

25 Jul 2025 20:27:11
We have bought two (KT and Nygren) and that's more than we usually buy.

25 Jul 2025 22:56:06
Aye and got rid of 2 Taylor and Kuhn# static.

Monetary wise:
Income - 16 million
Outgoings - 1.7 million
Does this not mean we've got 14.3 million to spend to break even?

26 Jul 2025 03:25:11
It does, but, it adds to the odd 80 million in the bank.

26 Jul 2025 07:38:50
Stevie27, since January this year kyogo £10 million, Khun £17.5million, Lagerbielke £2 million, Cummings £500k or there abouts, Frimpongs move to Liverpool £6 million, Kwon to Nantes fee yet to be disclosed. that's upwards of £36 million give or take. that's money not including champions league money, sold out season tickets, 3 or 4 new strip releases and training gear. there's way more money available than you mention. we've spent loose change so far.

26 Jul 2025 12:28:49
Gambling again with CL qualification and dare I say it retaining our Title. Think our club are obsessed with reaching 100 million in the bank.

26 Jul 2025 12:41:00
We also have the Frimpong £5m too. If the board don't bring anybody in, they bwtter emigrare to Chad. So we can spend £20m without touching a coin.

Our boards default position.

I would think Murray is ahead of Welsh prob best if he moved on but he's by no means the worst cb I've ever seen.

26 Jul 2025 19:12:43
I agree Mally. I think Murray definitely has more potential. Welsh has kind of stagnated due to lack of game time. Can see Murray getting a fair few games this season as CCV has had his injury issues the last few seasons. CL level might be a level too much for him at the moment though but it has been for a lot of our CBs.

Why stockpile cash just to pay HMRC more millions in corporation tax? just buy some fecking players!

27 Jul 2025 21:12:14
I've said it already but if BR isn't backed by the time this window closes he'll be off for a second time.

That's a crazy state of affairs, even for our outdated board ?.

FIVE WEEKS till window closes! Criticism of praise then.

29 Jul 2025 12:33:59
Stock piling cash doesn’t mean Celtic pay Corporation tax or any other tax. On the money in bank . This seems to be a concept that fans cannot accept.
