Reading couple of sites saying g hassan is close to signing and it will be a statement signing. the guys stats are terrible both in goals and assists a goal every 18 games and an assist every 14 games. let's hope they haggle the Spanish enough for them to walk away.

Some moaned about Hogh and Duran. If Hussan comes in, that is 3 quality players in, we have moaned for years that we should be buying this level of player, instead of the 1-3m punts.
Get the Italian midfielder and Baur in so when Engels leaves, him Reo and Bernardo won't be missed and ih yes, KEEP AJ. We will be in a decent place then.

We're crying out for wingers and if Hussan can beat a man and get crosses into the box then I'd expect Hogh or Duran to do the rest.

The final third consistency is the hardest part of a wingers game and the part that really counts. and at nearly 25 can he add?. ui if your talking about me what's unreal about questioning a winger/ attackers terrible scoring and assists stats?

Jota had scored about 4 goals in his in his 50 game career when we signed him, Kuhn had 7 in 51 top team appearances....
Are we seriously at the point of writing off players before we've even seen them in a Celtic jersey, before they've even signed?

I was working in Holland when we signed larson and the feyenoord fans I worked alo gside or spoke to where raging he was going / allowed to leave they liked and valued him but he was victim of a style system that didn't utilise him properly. that's off course if you where talking about larson ?.

Whats mind boggling or to despair about me or anyone else questioning the worth of of a potential transfer on a transfer rumours/ banter site. do we not have some reason to do so when it's an area ( along with other areas ) so badly messed up in last year or so. if he comes in and does well then slag me tear me a new one but until then can we not express an opinion? Concern as we can't do it to the people in charge sites like this are the only places to do so.

I can't write him off as I've never seen him and we've not signed. and i can't and haven't criticised his style of play. i'm thinking aloud and sharing i don't think his stats are great. and i don't believe you about the oviedo fans get some them to put in a positive post about him ??.
{Ed007's Note - I hate using the term but this is a data driven signing, this is what Celtic should be doing more often, looking for players that are actually ready to progress rather than a random punt & hope.
Look at his stats and scouting reports playing in La Liga, his speed alone gives him a massive advantage in the SPFL

{Ed007's Note - We just need to agree a fee with SC Paderborn, negotiations are ongoing with both Clubs playing hardball, Baur wants the move and has put in an official transfer request with SC Paderborn. I've said all along that I think it'll happen and I still believe it will, SC Paderborn will blink first, nobody wants to keep an unhappy player regardless of what is in the press, it's just posturing.

Do people not remember Didier Agathe who was rapid but it took years before he was able to get some quality on his final ball but even then it was inconsistent, yet he was very good and highly thought of by Celtic fans for his contribution to the team.
Many players take several moves to find the right fit in a club and more importabtly in a team and feel comfortable and play to their full potential.
At least wait till they are here and playing regularly before we rip them apart for previous performances and stats.

Still amazes me that people think players are signed because they had a good world cup!
