Much as I love MON his recent pressers are not great. He knows how incompetent our Board are but freely gives out info on players we are chasing and close to signing (in his mind) and done same last window and with Kelechi and Sarrachi, who he is name dropping again as tho we are about to sign him and the Egyptian winger.
All well and good if he had confidence in MN and crew but surely he knows their track record is not to deliver. Hopefully we are as close as he thinks, but have my doubts.

Br would go into these saying I have no clue what’s happening, the players so far are club signings etc and gaslight fans to anger, hogh signing took 2 windows and actually took about 10 days once player himself agreed to leave Bodo, it’s just not as simple as what fans read and see, mn does seem inept to me but in terms of what mon says I think he’s trying to tell fans something instead of nothing, some will want that and some won’t I took the sarrachi point that player still hasn’t moved to be either his wage demands aren’t being met or there still could be an offer there, maybe waiting for boca to allow him to leave on free or less.

Imo he should say nowt until players are in the door. He said we were in talks with agents for Ineacho and Sarrachi and in Jan said we were very close to signing a winger (can't remember who! ) and ended up with Adamu etc.
Its just amateurish to show your hand when invariably the deals fall through. Fair enough if he is 90%+ sure of deals getting done.

There are so many rumours about but one did suggest that Scarrachi is asking for wages we do not want to pay.
There has to be some reason for us not just paying the asking price as we know exactly what we would be getting, it is not a risk, he has proven he can play for this club.
Surely a deal could have be sorted out.

We have been crying out for better communication from the club. MON is being up front about the potential incomings and outgoings. Personally I respect it.
We are a selling club but we need to start signing our replacements before we sell. For the sake of not weakening the squad any further and the additional premium other clubs push for when you’ve just brought in another £25M.

If we are waiting to see if Engles signs a new contract why would we buy his replacement until that decision has been made?

{Ed007's Note - Engels won't be signing a new deal with Celtic. Apparently West Ham have been putting in bids and seeking permission to speak to Engels for weeks m(maybe months) and Celtic have refused. Celtic had agreed with Engels & his agent - like they do with most signings - that if a PL/CL or a club from the "Big 5" league came in for him they would allow him to leave if the price was right, well West Ham got relegated so according to Celtic they don't meet the criteria.
It all supposedly came to a head the other day and Engels spat the dummy and downed tools in training.}
