I'd like to see us confirm the signing of Baur (£5M) and make offers for Maswanhise (£5M? ) from Motherwell and Braga (£7M? ) from Hearts.
That would equate to the MF and front 3 starters sorted.
Then get in a GK, CB, back up LB and if AJ leaves a RB.

I just don't see the club signing a 28year old for significant fee, if they could get Berg cheap then maybe, othersiwe doesn't really fit the age profile we've been aiming at.

I agree, Berg and Chaiwa would be a great midfield but we appear too busy trying to sign
attacking players.
I would love to keep Engels, play him in CM role and watch his value rise but we will sell him I have no doubt.
It is our midfield that I worry about as we were bullied or played through last season.
Baur might come but if Engels and Hatate go, Bernardo and Magowan are players MON appears not to rate, so we will need at least 1 and Baur imo.
CM and the Ox will add experience but we need a bit of muscle in there because our opposition will make it physical.
It also looks like CVV and Scales at cbs which is a real worry considering their set piece records.
If AJ goes that is a real big hole to fill. The 2 backup that we have are either not good enough or experienced enough yet.
Maybe things will change in the next 4 weeks.
