To sell AJ this summer window is a difficult one to take, the figures being branded about are totally laughable, he's in his prime, is a vital cog in the way we play, his character and the way he has bought into the club has been fantastic, and that's why if we did sell with the fact he has a lengthy contract still we should command a big fee!
The Left back position seems to be a cheap option the club will go for, I can't see the club funding an expensive transfer/ wage for a player that will be back up to KT.
Still desperate for the club to add another CM to the fold along with Baur, the egyptian would be enouth for the wings with the young lads coking through and jota still to come back, get Balikwisha moved on don't think he has the ability for the club, and a CB if one of our moves on, probably Trusty while there's value.

Full backs tend not to go for as big fees. So not exp cringe much more than 10m.

Agreed. If he is to go to the English prem then make them pay upwards of £25m. The money down there makes a mockery of the game - and to be honest, it's making me less and less enthusiastic about football. I love Celtic but football has changed so much that it's seen simply as an entertainment money making business.

I totally agree with you Henrik, football as a spectator sport is finished imo. Money has been ruining it for years but just lately it is getting ridiculous. The way Clubs turn their pros into hero status to market their merchandise is just another expense for the working man. My mate has recently shelled out hundreds of pounds on new gear for his kids.
The World Cup there has just done it for me. Ticket prices through the roof, changing the format of the game to suit the American advertising market, the treatment of players and officials because of where they come from and Infantino being a corrupt b*****d is enough for me!
Might go watch bowls from now on! ?.

Everton paid 11m plus bonuses for Patterson from the dead and he hadn't played a full game for the first team and he is nowhere near the player AJ is.
There are rumours we don't want to sell, so lay a price down that we know they won't pay and hopefully they will go away or do what other clubs do, come out and say he is not for sale at any price.

How far back do we have to go to find a right back we've had as good as AJ? I genuinely wouldn't want less than £15m and I think I'm possibly doing us even with that.
{Ed007's Note - Lustig?

Juranovic, who he replaced. I recall josip being one of the top right backs at the world cup Croatia done really well at.

May have been Euros. ?.

Lustig was an excellent servant and posed a decent threat from set pieces and Juranovic i was a big fan of but didn't have much in the opponents half. Overall a better player than those two for me lads.
