I would love to see Greg Taylor back at Celtic.
At times Celtic have missed him playing that inverted fullback role with that extra man in midfield, when we’ve struggled to break teams down.
Greg is also great for the dressing room with his determination to be a winner.

Absolutely not.

Think he would be great in the holding midfield role given his tackling, ball carrying and how he can can read a game. He has landed here today.

I was going to ask the question re back up at the LB position.

Taylor for me domestically, is fine, as he's proven, is he good enough if he has to step in at a higher level - not for me.

We've also just watched a player in Sarrachi, perform in that role when he was with us on loan last season, and he's a far better player than GT (IMO) .

As always, time will tell.

Too small, we need bigger and more athletic players for the defensive side of things.

Not a patch on Sarrachi, cheap option and imo would be a backward step. He was an average player, exposed badly in big games. Only bring back players who were "stars" 1st time and GT doesn't fit that role. Go back and pay whatever is required and get Sarrachi.

100% take Taylor.

If he’s needed for 15-20 mins per game, or play to rest kt in lesser games then he can do the job no doubt, will he impact a game, I’d say no and therefore I’d much prefer we look at a loan deal elsewhere, experienced or young n hungry with option to buy,

I always liked Taylor and never understood the negativity about him. Don't think he should have ever been sold. That's not to say there isn't better out there though, so unsure about taking him back.

Bit of a lack of ambition and demonstrates the failures in the scouting system. Basically they have zilch, so they go back to the old trusty workhorse. But would he improve the team, at least domestically? Yes.

100% I’d have him back, I wasn’t his greatest fan but we missed him stepping into midfield last season.

{Ed007's Note - I was a GT fan while he was here and backed him to the hilt but that ship has sailed imo, and how do you know MON/Maloney will be inverted fullbacks?
The guy took abuse every week from Celtic fans, why would he want to come back to that?

27 Jul 2026 23:10:07
It would eliminate the feel good factor from the striker signings and it was obvious that a lot of fans didn’t rate him.

He achieved very little in Greece.

Can see him returning for a hearts or Aberdeen as that’s his level at best.

We keep saying we want the board to have ambition. Taylor in a Celtic team alongside Scales and McCowan is frightening.
