In Martin we Trust
Reports in today's press that "Celtic will bring players in IMMINENTLY"
We have to hope Martin is squeezing DD to release the funds.

I hope so as Sevco have brought in a few decent players already and will push us a lot more this season.
{Ed007's Note - I suppose it depends on how you define decent - a GK that conceded 65 goals in 48 games last season is decent?}

A cb on loan and a midfielder on loan.
01 Jul 2026 17:00:02
In my honest opinion and a Hate that mob and I always will but that aside a would be raging if we signed them sort of players, but what is really bugging me is over many many years managers and players go on about how important a pre season is, that started last wk and yes the players we might b after are in a pre season but we need them in OUR door.
{Ed007's Note - The majority of clubs haven't started their preseason training yet, most English teams will start next week or the week after and most continental teams is even later, it depends on when leagues start, European qualifiers etc.
Most footballers not at the World Cup are still on holiday.}

DR Congo keeper is worth a bid. Valued at 350k.
01 Jul 2026 18:14:45
The left winger looks good.
01 Jul 2026 20:04:58
Mally you mentioned that they signed a cb and midfielder on loan.
Were CCV and Jota not brought in on loan? Along with a few other good players.
Ed I wasn't talking about the keeper, Dan Neil is a decent player and Godfrey was very good when he broke through at Everton.
Fair enough he hasn't played a lot over the last couple of years but he is in the same mold as CCV, we also know exactly what Shankland will give them.
{Ed007's Note - I don't, what exactly will Shankland give them?}
01 Jul 2026 21:45:53
ED come on, he will give them plenty of goals and we all know it.
He scored something like 15 league goals for Hearts last season and will easily score 20 for them this year.
In the meantime we piss about again paying something like £11m in corporation tax and launch another top (the 4th this season already I think)
We still haven't replaced our Head of Football operations after he was sacked in January as have about 3 scouts employed by the club
Iheanacho is basically begging us to sign him again and Nothing.
We can reportedly get Saracchi for £1.5m but reports saying we would prefer another loan
We will sell Engles, Nygren, Trusty, Maeda, Hatate, Bernardo and AJ and will wait until the last 2 days of our transfer as it ends 2 days after everyone else to see who we can pick up on loan.
{Ed007's Note - So Shankland scored the same amount of goals as Nygren last season... The season before he scored 8 league goals for Hearts. 6 of Shankland's were penalties btw.
Shankland turns 31 next month is their main striker for next season ????
01 Jul 2026 22:38:08
Yes he will be Ed, he will still score more than Kenny, Osmand, Yamada or possibly another £1.5m Japanese striker who we will bring in just to make it look like Nicholson knows how to sign a player.
{Ed007's Note - Celtic have still to buy their main striker, TRIFC have and it's Shankland ?? Lawrence Shankland ffs!
01 Jul 2026 23:32:31
The WC has showed that Shankland is rubbish and nowhere good enough for us. His best days are behind him and he was the cheap option for sevco.
He is another cheap option as they go for staunchness which in English means cutting back.
02 Jul 2026 13:20:44
Celtic have still to buy their main strikers since the departures of kyogo and idah, which was 18 and 12 months ago, respectively. Forgive me for not being confident they will manage to do so this window.
02 Jul 2026 13:32:48
I never said he is good enough for us but I won't hold my breath on us signing our Main Striker.
Our money man and our contracts guy will sign no one of consequence as they won't want anyone on any kind of decent money and a long term contract when we get pumped out of the CL and knowing that we will have heehaw chance of getting back into it any time soon with us having to go through 3 qualifying rounds Unseeded for the next 3-5 season's.
Our biggest transfer this season will be around the £3m mark.
The board will be hoping that we can go with Osmand as our main striker until the end of the transfer window and then they will give Iheanacho a shout if he is still available.
On a separate note, I heard that we had actually agreed a deal to sign Dolberg last season, a fee, wages and bonuses were all agreed and we told him we would give him a call back but didn't bother, when his agent tried to get in touch with Nicholson, he didn't answer his call
If that's true then Nicholson and his pal should be sacked.
