do club even need to go looking for a new manager , do managers not put themselves out there for the job? Surely via agents there's individuals that want to manage us, or am I wrong,

{Ed007's Note - Every time the manager's job comes up since Laweell said he never even looked at the file and appointed NL in the shower I say this Jaa, what managers out there have aid to their agent - here I'd be up for that Celtic job....
See all the noise about what manager would work under our board etc, lok at the Pub League, the poisoned chalice jobs like Spurs or Forest - i'll be amazed if McKenna lasts a season at Fulham btw - but we are still Celtic, one of the biggest and best ran Clubs in the world, CL/European football, maybe a managers best chance of trophies etc etc that list would shock us, every time we're looking that list would shock us.}

Manager. I need X amount of money spent on specific player.
Board. Absolutely
Manager. Is this definitely going to happen?
Board. We're doing it right now.
Start of new season. Managers first conference.
I'm happy to work with the players the board have thrown at me.
Aaaaand repeat ad nausea.

Gerry there’s loads teams in top leagues that don’t have pot to p in, look at Spain, so surely there’s ambition somewhere,

This is the issue. Rather than see who might be interested DD has seemingly just went to the top of his WhatsApp contacts.

Henke that’s my question, is that what’s happening, obv there’s not been anyone sacked so the aspect of a bunch of people applying for job isn’t there, but surely agents are in contact saying consider my man,

We’ve seen with players it’s been harder and harder to get them but is it going to be same for a manager, it’s not as if our job doesn’t lead to anything either, you’ll win trophies, probably have an amazing time, on englands doorstep and in Europe, managers should be backing themselves to smash it here.

Be interested to know a real football insiders view, someone within agent circles or well rooted press circles that know background stuff, or is that my imagination runnning wild and Celtic aren’t important enough within those circles.

Maybe the reputation of DD and our board for not supporting Managers with spending on players, over the last few years, their treatment of their own fans and those interviews from RD against fans and his fathers one on BR has been seen worldwide, so as a Manager would you rush up here and fire your CV into MN inbox.

Even removing that issue, it just appears that one man has decided that he wants the club to remain under his total control and he is the only one with the knowledge and experience to know who is right for the job.

He is a man who listens to no one other than himself as that is the only opnion that matters and I really can imagine him not being interested in the slightest at the fan unrest at what appears to be HIS choice for Manager.

The rest of the board are total cowards as he is not the owner or majority shareholder yet they lay down and let him do with the club whatever he wants.

He almost caused a disaster last season with picking a guy with absolutely no clue about the identity of the club, not understanding that he needed to win from day one and yet he takes the lead yet again on who should be Manager.

What does MN actually do to earn his 177k a year. What do the remainder of our board actually do.

Do we actually need a board when one man controls everything.

I do not think the majority of fans have anything personal against RK but his CV does not suggest that he is the man to move us forward into a new era imo.

I wouldn’t surprise if Fulham go down again Ed. They’re just one of those teams. If McKenna’s goal is to bounce around the bottom of the premier league then that’s a lack of ambition if you ask me.

I was looking at managers who are on a free right now and the ones that immediately jump out or have a bit of clout are Thomas Frank, Thiago Motta, Amorim, Terzic.

The only one I could see interested out of that few is Thomas Frank which wouldn’t be too much trouble to get done if he was interested I reckon. Doubt Motta would like Glasgows weather.

Mip, I agree with all that but would like to add a small correction, as MN is paid around 836k + bonuses.
