Minority of fans at it again bringing international politics to the fore to drive an agenda, unbelievable, if you cannot back the clubs from day 1 to day end in a season, give up your season books and go and support another team. O’Neill and Keane will be a dream team along with the proposed restructure and back room team.
03 Jun 2026 13:34:35
If you know you're history.
{Ed007's Note - "Minority of fans" ??
03 Jun 2026 14:57:05
Saint Martin
Think your in the Minority. Genocide is wrong and anyone with any morals will believe that.

Just my opinion but Keane is not my choice of the next manager, And it's got nothing to do with him managing an Israeli team. But to do with his team not winning his domestic league this year that gives me the doubt. Abadda played for Celtic when people waved Palestine flags didn't stop fans turning up week after week still supporting the team when playing an Israeli player. So what is the difference? As far as I know he hasn't come out and backed Israel for what has been done in Palestine? Sorry for this post looking like it's political but I don't get the shout Keane can't get the job because he managed an Israeli team 2 years ago I really don't.
But if it has to be Keane then fair enough I will not stop supporting Celtic because of it or go off on a rant just My opinion.
{Ed007's Note - Neither Askou or Knutsen won their leagues either and people wanted them, McKenna was my ideal choice and what's he won?
The situation in Gaza has escalated to a level nobody thought would have been humanly possibly or humanely allowed and people comparing us having Bitton or Abada playing for to the Keane situation is just nonsense and best ignored - for a start 2 of them were born there and one chose to go there while a genocide was being carried out, to be himself and family in there is mental enough imo without the political side to it.
My fear with appointing Keane is that it's going to be an ego trip for the Keane's and their "brand".}
03 Jun 2026 16:35:32
You could be correct about the ego trip Ed But it's not like Keane had anything to do with the atrocities off Palestine and they are and were atrocities no arguments about that.
I just wouldn't hold it against him for being a manager of an Israeli team two years ago. But losing the league for his last club after them having won the league 7 times in a row is my concern.
{Ed007's Note - That's up to you but I can totally understand why people will ALWAYS hold it against him - and not just Celtic fans.}
03 Jun 2026 17:06:16
McKenna has a 8 million pound release clause I think he would have been a great manager for us but I can't see Celtic paying 8 million pounds for a manager.
03 Jun 2026 17:14:58
If you are not opposed to genocide and want to keep it out the public eye, then why don't you go and support another club and while you are at it, give up your season ticket as you are not the type of supporter I want at the club. ?.
03 Jun 2026 18:05:02
I'm with you Saint Martin. Beating up Netanyahu I'm fine with that. What about Hamas? One side as bad as the other imo. Whatever the rights and wrongs, if one of the group at war hides on residential areas, mosques etc, what is the other side to do? And don't give me the Zionist propaganda tripe.
As I asked yesterday, and it wasn't point scoring but s genuine question. what's the difference between Keane playing his trade in Israel and MON who imo is a club legend, working for a club on a country that ravaged Ireland?
{Ed007's Note - Read this slowly... the genocide in Gaza is still going on, WW2 ended about 80 years ago, there's been peace in Ireland since the GFA and any other BS people want to make up to justify and excuse an ongoing genocide, it's happening RIGHT now... that's the difference ffs.
1/This video was taken in Nov. 2023, when Robbie Keane was manager of Maccabi Tel Aviv. Its first team is being shown a video of soldiers (staff) firing rockets during a genocide against Palestinians as a motivational exercise. They applaud it. https://t.co/gFY3pYC0hl
— Scottish Sport for Palestine (@ScotSport4Pal) June 2, 2026
And you'll see Dor Turgeman in that video - a player TRIFC fans were appalled they were trying to sign last year that you can read about HERE
03 Jun 2026 18:18:22
Well it's not up to you Joe who I support. If you can look at what I said I never at any time agreed with genocide or agreed with what the Isralies have done I condone what they have done.
What you want is unimportant in this more so when you just make things up. Maybe before you post you really look at what someone says before replying?
03 Jun 2026 18:56:49
I think you missed the sarcasm there tony. I was merely flipping the argument upside down to show how stupid it was for people to tell others that they are not welcome at Celtic.
03 Jun 2026 19:02:16
I take it carter vickers and trusty will have to leave because their president chucks bombs wherever he likes, killing plenty of innocents, while supposedly fiddling minors on an island, or is it simply the Palestine atrocities we will mainly focus on and anyone and their dog who have any such links to the place?
Im with tony2bhoy, I've not seen anyone being pro genocide or anything of the ilk, would of been better if another sub category of Celtic politics would of been added along with this banter and the transfer one, because reading the politics drivel on here is boring, I just want to know who we are linked with, who comes in and out, what we think of those and their abilities, not where they shop or wipe their arsed.
{Ed007's Note - If that's what it takes to get rid of CCV and Trusty then I'm all for it.
Right, we're linked with Robbie Keane as our next manager, the guy's a rocket, always has been and has an ego bigger than his massive Roblox looking head - cracking player in his day though - he has the morals of an alley cat and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him - I mean come on, signing up to manage one of the most racist clubs in "Europe" shows how much of a scumbag he is, a club that's fans were banned from travelling to the UK!}
03 Jun 2026 19:16:04
Leaving the politics out of the argument, and believe me it is difficult to ignore, Keane took over a team half way through a season and they won the league. Basically because the team continued to play the way they had in the first half of the season.
He then had the following season with his own team and his own tactics and he lost the league, the first time in 8 years.
They are like us, much richer than the other teams and when the league changed the rule to 5 first team starters must be nationals, he didn't react in a positive way and identify and sign the best national players.
Therein lies my worry, could he have done what MON did last season, not a chance.
We are not a club where a Manager comes in and learns his trade, we take in winners who deliver trophies.
I do not think he is the guy to take in when we are in a position where we have to rip up the team and whole football dept at our club and put a strategy in fir the next 3 years.

I get the impression a lot of people on this site condone Hamas atrocities. They don't acknowledge the right of Israel to exist.
And read this slowly. the UN in 2019 asked the Palestinians (I assume the Hamas leadership) to uphold the rights of women.
The Palestinians refused.
And read this slowly, if the GFA nullifys my comparison then why do some Celtic fans boo the 2 minute silence at Armistice Day, sing obscene songs about the royal family (btw I'm no fan of the RF)
{Ed007's Note - The Royal Family? ???????
03 Jun 2026 19:44:59
I am sorry Joe I did miss it. My apologies pal.
03 Jun 2026 19:58:38
Last time I checked turner, Robbie Keane was not an Israeli, so your fallacious argument fell flat.
@98.07 are you talking about the same hamas that was funded by Israel?
@ed the royal family gave us one of the funniest and comical genius moments I have seen at a football match. I remember when the queen died and there was a minutes applause and the Celtic fans sang if you hate the royal family clap your hands. ??.
{Ed007's Note - 100% top shithousery that was, "Sorry for your loss Michael Fagan" was another belter!
03 Jun 2026 20:22:58
No worries Tony and my post was not directed at you, it was directed at the op. ?.
