If we seriously got offered 25mil for Engles and rejected it
It’s criminal have they watched the boy play.

If we had a half decent football operations dept the replacements would already be in the door allowing us the luxury of punting players like Engels for profit.
We of course, are a shambles and have a last minute panic on our hands again. Sitting with around £80m in the bank and being outflanked by clubs with tens, if not hundreds of £million of debt. Beggars belief really?

I’s knocking back money for a player in form under mon worth more than buying any unknown Every player has a price, me must be not far off that now,

Fans moaning, quite rightly, about the club not buying players and now moaning that we're not selling any. IMO we're not in the position to sell any first team players.

Is anybody actually confident we'd bring in a better player with the money this late on? It didn't sound like MO'N was when he said he wouldn't sell him for 100m.

Playing devils advocate, we're not top heavy with midfielders, the bhoy is under cotract and there's a W. C. in the summer.
If he coninues to progress and get in the Belgian team for the W. C. who knows what he could be worth.

Selling 'star' players and replacing with inferior replicas has been the norm for decades. However, we have now descended into the crazy realm of selling without replacing, and you can see the mess we're in. Getting more than double the cash for Engels would be acceptable if our incompetent and shambolic Board had a replacement in place.
