Wouldn't it be brilliant if we had a board who cared more about the football side of the club rather than having one who only care about there bonuses or the size of the clubs bank account. Large bank accounts don't win football games or trophies.

A smart board would of had an elite director of football overseeing football operations, especially at a club that no matter where you are in the globe you will see a jersey worn!
Football networks built up around the club giving advantages player trading.
Sell assests when their stocks high, with plan a, b, c and d already drawn up to replace that player.
The impression this board have given of our club to the world could be catastrophic in the near future because who wants to come to a club mismanaged, with no real ambition?
It will allow two type of targets, those who probably have a love of the club, and the money grabbers coming to pinch a wage and be as useful to the playing squad as the board are to the club.

Stevie27, I’m more a realist that there’s a balance to be struck. We are the most successful club in the past 20 years on the field in Scotland. One of the most successful financially, however with the economic climate over the past 5 years Celtic have been open about keeping cash reserves. Could we have better players - yeah, that’s not a cash issue it’s a recruitment and scouting issue. Cash has been spent on crap. I say this with the same passion of any other fan, however some people on here think they know how to run £140 million turnover business better than that of those who have delivered 14 titles in 15 years.

Wow Aldo 14 out of 15 titles, should really be 15 out of 15 considering it was a one horse race. How many cups were we knocked out of by Kilmarnock, St Mirren, Ross County, ICT even Rangers between 2012-2016? Not to mention the 5 CL qualifiers we failed in against minnows of European football.

Christ, if we had actually ever properly prepared for CL qualifying, our cash reserves could be 3 X what it is just now. Whatever anyone thinks of the TV cup, it is the single most potential income stream available to us every season and yet Lawell and Nicholson have hamstrung on just about every occasion for nearly twenty years.
