Over the last 5 years the share price has doubled, so one could easily argue that the Board are doing a great job. We have also won 13 of the last 14 titles, again the evidence points to the Board doing a great job. Yes, I wish we had bought a couple of good signings in the summer and yes, we desperately need a striker in this window but our current problems stem more from some really bad luck with injuries and a bizarre episode with an awful manager.

I wish people would stop banging on about the board it’s bloody depressing.

Agree6 Disagree0

Absolutely not, can't disagree with your points but what could we be if we evolved?

Jamie we could have been league champions-wait, we could have won trebles -wait, ………. oh we could have knocked out Bayern reached next round and gave another top team a run for there money, that’s your answer Jamie,

Look that’s tongue n cheek but it’s true, we could have been a better version of what we currently are I understand that, could have qualified for cl on multiple more occasions, possible have much better squad and have league wrapped up by Christmas every season, that’s the flip Side of my tongue n cheek, but outcomes domestically would be exact same, club dropped ball in summer, don’t trust br, didn’t trust he was developing talent (true) and didn’t back him as he was leaving, he gaslit fanbase into a frenzy, the panic and anger reverberated through entire club and we are where we are, we will spend, we will get a decent manger, we will if not this season get back to being dominant in Scotland of that I have no doubt, how we recover that fractious nature of our club internally starts with as the poster suggests some of the against board stuff to simmer, I agree change is still needed but nothings changing soon, unity including sorting things like gb issue for me is priority up there with new players.

Brendansbrain, while your point stands and cannot be denied, this board have stood still. Hearts have brought in bloom and definitely are on the up, that mob over in Govan despite at 1 point this season us being 12 points ahead of them definitely smell blood now down to the implosion created by the board at our club. we can talk all day about rodgers and wether he should've came back or whatever, what cannot be denied is window after window he was asking for quality over quantity. now folk criticised rodgers for ( his signings) but were they really hislook at oneil now, said last night he looked at what was put forward to him and he's basically binned them, so that speaks volumes on the work done under Tisdale.

Who hired Tisdale? We'd our CEO on Celtic tv tell us " nancy was thee outstanding candidate ". this squad were on the downward spiral going into last year's Scottish Cup final, we then had an absolutely abysmal summers window, the downward spiral. of the team continues and even watching that game last night, would you say that performance was better under oneil than the performances under rodgers Then down to the incompetence of the board wed tisdale scouting more crap for Nancy, he's rightly sacked and now we've oneil running around trying to find quality in a short period of time. that surely is all on the board?

Glad you agree.

15 Jan 2026 07:31:48
So the solution is for us to stfu and just let the board away with this. ?.

15 Jan 2026 08:21:47
How can you have unity when the board is openly hostile towards its own fanbase. Since the Bayern game, this board systematically dismantled the team either deliberately or by incompetence, frankly not sure which is worse.

Our domestic ‘success’ was in part due to little opposition, look at us now that there is some (get that the opposition isn’t great but that shows us where we sit) . This board aren’t going to get cut any slack, they don’t deserve it.

Absolutely not Joe, pressure should stay, protest for change continue by all means, but I see somes point that every discussion is hijacked by a board comment, valid if discussion is about board, but your guilty as charged for answering a question regards a new no10 with “ we would have one by now if our board didn’t suppress our scouts in 2019 and move to analytics resulting in tisdsle being at club in 2025, sack the board, we’ll not until I've figured out who can replace them, wait sack some now rest later “….

Joke joe but yeah maybe stop harping on a bit,

I’m not saying we have a great board and things couldn’t be better. The Nancy appointment was a disaster and that is on the board. But we all make mistakes, he had won a few things over the pond so in theory could have worked.
We have the best team in Scotland and the best bank account.

If someone offered me 13 of the next 14 titles I’d bite their hand off. If you get rid of the board who are you going to replace them with? Be careful what you wish for. I don’t know all the people on the board and I don’t really care; i’m interested in football not politics.

So hiring the CEO's son and gave him millions to waste. Then hiring a complete chancer in Nancy isn't on the board. Its Rodgers fault. 7/ 9 times we failed to qualify for CL wasn't on board.

Selling every decent player and leaving the squad drastically short isn't on the board. They're doing a great job and it's all bad luck. All the time sitting on 10s of millions.

BrendansBrain,

your post was going well until the line that started 'but our current problems'.

I do enjoy a good pun.
