Anyone feel that we should do a quick deal with Hibs for Bowie? Reasoning - he plays in our League, we know his style and capabilities, he can and does score, he is fit and strong. Playing in an attacking Celtic team he will have many scoring opportunities and a great chance to advance his career and status.
If we go elsewhere we are never sure what we will get. Settling in time, possible communication issues etc. And, to be honest, there won't be many prolific strikers available in January at the prices our Board will pay.

We won't be sure what we are getting with Bowie either as there is no guarentee he'll work out. Can't see us paying the £6m Hibs want tbh.

4 Leaf Clover
I don’t think his numbers stack up?

A like Bowie and think he'd do well in our set up, but if hibs are asking for 6m why not we paid 4m 20 years ago for broony and that turned out OK, you've got to pay what the selling club asks for how many have we sold over the years.

I also doubt Hibs would sell him at a price we’d pay as I believe he has a 40% sell on clause in his contract so no point Hibs letting him go for £2-3m they’ve more to play for.

Kieron Bowie is not much better than Johnny Kenny.
While I would take him at Celtic he should not be our number 1 striker as they would be more suited to backup.

Steve Clarke has included Bowie in 6 Scotland Squads since June 2025.
He played 13 minutes in a Friendly against Liechtenstein and One minute in a WC Qualifier.
Scotland are hardly blessed with good Strikers.
Granted that’s only one managers choice to use Bowie very sparingly but £6.5M is overpriced for an unestablished player.
I’m sure the Hibs fans wouldn’t mind losing him if he helps Celtic win the league instead of Hearts.

I thought Bowie might have been a decent shout as a back up striker.
It would depent on the fee but I doubt we'd pay anywhere near £6M for him.

His numbers aren't good enough for us imo. Looking good in a hibs team does not make him a Celtic striker. I also couldn't and wouldn't compare him to broony.
There is no way i'd pay 6 mil for him and if he has a 40% sell on clause, absolutely no chance.
On another subject, I see the little ugly sisters are having an issue with their latest signing.
They say he has signed and his agent says he is signing for an MLS team and getting 35k a month.
I know where he will be going.

I agree and disagree Joe. He is an upgrade on kenny but no where near the level to be main striker.

How about a swap by giving them Bernardo?

Would Bowie want to be back up?
