I think what would be ideal is a Garry Hooper type striker.
I said ages ago Calum Osmand gave me that vibe when we first signed him and it's unfortunate he's injured. Have huge hopes for him.
Wonder if there's anyone poking about League 1/ Championship that could come in for a relatively low fee and do a turn for us!

Plenty of gems out there, we just need to have the personnel who can identify them.

Kyogo is that man. Loved that wee dude.

Jorgen Strand Larsen - Norwegian currently at Wolves (25 years old)
Don't think we could afford him though - £30 to £40M + salary
Could have got him for around £10M 3 years ago.

Apparently they knocked back £55m in summer from Newcastle?

Kyogo is howling and will likely never hit form again. Was an over rate player in my opinion. Great for 18 months. Nothing on Hooper, Griff, McDonald, Dembele, Edouard, Hartson, Sutton, Larsson, Sinclair. Could go on.
I tell you what I'd do for another Scott Sinclair at the club. What a player he was for us. Bit of a hero in my eyes.

Gary would be better right now that what we have m. Even at 38 he would have buried those sitters. I would have put away at least 8, hauf cut.

I'd mentioned Gyökeres years ago on here during his first or 2nd season at Coventry. Has gone for fees of nearly €90m since then though. Also Olise while he was at Reading. These kind of players we need to find early doors with a recruitment team that knows what they're doing.
But we always plump for endless players in the £2-3m bracket and waste 10's of millions on duds. Would rather we sign less and get that genuine quality in with extensive scouting, but that isn't the Celtic model. They would rather gamble in the hope one of those project players pays off.
