Just want to say on a personal level I feel heart sorry for Nancy. The person (s) responsible at board level should leave as well. It was unfair to put an inexperienced manager in place who was ill prepared for the job.
The board have responsibilities to look after the wellbeing of employees and they didn't do that when they appointed Nancy. They have a duty to look after his health and wellbeing.
It is in everyone's interest that he is released though as it was never going to work.
The real issue lies with DD/ Board for a wholly wrong and unjust recruitment process.

I'm sure the pay off he'll receive will soften the blow. It stirs ma s*** that football managers and players are rewarded for being crap at their job. It must be the only profession this happens.
It needs to stop as there will come a time when managers will be looking to get sacked to pick up a few million quid for a couple of months work. Mourinho since he left Inter has made a fortune from being sacked.

Well said mate.

Weve just handed him the biggest pension he will ever receive for 2 months work, Good Riddance.

Celtic65, I don't. He came in and chose not to sit down with MON, a club legend. He was so focused on their own ego that he decided to shake things up entirely 48hrs before a big game. He then doubled down on a system that wasn't working purely based on arrogance. He done no homework on the club, the team, the culture and not once did I hear him tell us about what the opposition were expected to do - so he done no homework on the league either.
Is he the bigger picture, no. Is he to blame for how this turned out, yes!

Agree to an extent celtic65, and as many mentioned when he was appointed, any bad results would keep the spotlight on him and away from the board.
At the same time, the guy is in his 40's and has been a coach for 4 years, he's either arrogant, dilusional or stupid to employ the formation and tactics that he did.
Everyday is a learning day and I doubt he'll be holidaying in Scotland anytime soon.

When did the board not look after his health and wellbeing? Employers only have a responsiblity to employees once they're actually employed. If Nancy wasn't mentally capable of dealing with the pressure that comes in Glasgow then he quite simlply shouldn't have applied for the job!
Nancy cost himself his job by not changing a system that wasn't working.

Who knows what his contract says? I was surprised he was given 30 months and would have expected 12 month maximum initially.
However, maybe the extended term was agreed to with a clause saying either party could terminate the contract within the first 6 months without compensation sought or given.
Either way, I have no sympathy for this arrogant fraud of a manager. I doubt he'll succeed in the game given his reluctance to change or adapt his hugely flawed formation/ tactics. It wouldn't surprise me if he was so sure in his own ability ha accepted a clause like above.
Good riddance!
