We are notorious for not building from a position of strength with a bad habit of occasional self-destruct. Currently I would say we are in a position of weakness with managerial musical chairs, a depleted squad and a team with little or no star quality and several inconsistent performances since the season began.

This would have been an ideal opportunity for Celtic to appoint a high profile manager - or if currently unavailable - convince MON and SM to keep up the momentum and see out the season when more good candidates become available.
I am seriously worried about the direction we may go if once again our Board get things wrong.

Everything going on at our club just now has been a direct result of our board and owner's ineptitude.

Which high profile managers would you recommend?

MON and SM until the summer IMHO.

They have, domestically, provided stability since coming in, to what was a very unstable group of players in that dressing room under BR.

This would give more time for the board to seek out and appoint the best candidate possible.

Clearly this present moment in time is not the best scenario in which to bring in a new manager, particularly, if the media is to be believed, a novice who's managed for less than 5 years in the MLS.

Could Nancy, is appointed, be a success in Scotland - yes, absolutely. He could prove to be an inspired choice.

I just think, given the injuries, the fact th8s would be the 3rd different manager in the same season and the gaps that exist in this current team - it's a huge ask at this time.

Should it go wrong and we didn't at least retain the league title, the pressure from the media, fans etc could be too much.

I agree with you Pedro, despite not being happy with their appointment initially.

Bringing in an untested manager is highly risky and could really set us back.

I am raging that we have hot ourselves I to this mess, despite being ina great position going into the summer.

Building from a position of strength should mean improving the youth teams and the youth recruitment, the youth is the foundations of a successful club, if youjust buy ten million pound players on mega salaries, you might or might not, get short term success, and you might keep the fair weather supporters happy.

How many times do you need to be told aindoh that our hands are tied with the youth progression.
The SFA are to blame for kids not making the grade.

Celtic can only do so much because there's a massive gap between youths and our first team.
There is currently no middle ground which is a disgrace.

We should be using early rounds of the cups to blood our youngsters.

We can't blame the SFA for us producing nothing from our Academy. For me we either fix it or shut it. A complete waste of money. And alwars has been. We produce players for the Fleetwoods of this world. Once every 12 years we get a player. If that. Easiest job in football.
