The next couple of games is huge for Brendan after his terrible comment yesterday.
We will know soon if Brendan has lost the dressing room.

The same happened with Lenny in August 2020 and our fans were right to fear the worse back then.

Although fair play to Lenny in January 2020 after the winter shutdown.
He totally changed our formation which won 28 points out of the next 30 points before lockdown and put us 13 points clear at the top.
Lenny also won our 3 Scottish cup ties for 12 domestic wins and 1 draw after the winter shutdown.

One month has went by and Brendan is still talking about finding a solution.
Maybe Brendan should do less talking and let's see more action.

He has maybe lost the dressing room already going by the lack of confidence, cohesion and character on show yesterday.
The constant references to lack of quality - which cannot be changed or addressed for months will not help our situation and if things don't improve soon he will lose the supporters as well.

20 Oct 2025 17:02:55
He lost this supporter months ago, this supporter was saying months ago what everyone is saying now but everyone was too busy blaming the board?‍♂️.

20 Oct 2025 17:59:54
I am still blaming the board and so are all the fans I know personally and thousands more above that.

If the board think it is toxic now, they ain't seen nothing yet and they have another thing coming if they think they can get to January and buy their way out with signings.

Bhoy88,
You still refuse to look at the bigger picture.
You’ve always been stuck on a one track mind for months that the Celtic Board are blameless and it’s 100% Brendan’s fault.

What do you think about my comment about Celtic making a £40M transfer profit since Brendan came back in the summer of 2023.
And that’s not counting the extra cash from Frimpong Etc.

To be fair I’m starting to agree with you that Brendan isn’t doing enough with the hand he’s been dealt but it’s obvious Celtic have downsized and that’s on the Board.

20 Oct 2025 18:24:29
What had that display v Dundee anything to do with the Board? All this passing about letting Dundee form their defence and then no clue how to get past that! Whatever happened to fast attacking out of defence and before opposition get back in their formation . the way Celtic used to play
That's coaching fault not the Boards.

20 Oct 2025 18:46:13
I cannot remember any manager, of any football team, making those kinds of comments about their team, their players, how on earth are players going out and play for someone who thinks that of them,

20 Oct 2025 19:17:15
I don't know what you mean Buzz by 'downsizing'? I've been saying for months but I'll say it again so here goes - we've smashed out transfer record and wages ceiling for BR and last summer we spent the around £30m for BR, the club signed 10 or 11 players this summer window for BR so how is that downsizing by Celtic? Rodgers downsized Celtic by failing to beat lowly Kairat in the CL qualifiers!
If you mean downsizing in terms of quality then I agree with you but that is on BR as he has stated he has the final say on transfers and it's his tactics!

I replied to your point earlier for the £40m profit.

20 Oct 2025 19:29:05
I don’t think Martin O’Neill could believe that comment from Brendan either aindoh.
I’m wondering how Brendan will address it when he does his pre match interview which will be Wednesday.

It can become a serious situation but I’ve got a horrible feeling Brendan will make his usual joke and pass it off as nothing.
Which I think would be another mistake.

The turning point in 2024 was when Brendan used the media to get the players to run through a brick wall for him after the Tynecastle fiasco.
Celtic went on to win the Double.
He needs to play another blinder in his next interview which will hopefully be another positive turning point.

20 Oct 2025 19:49:14
There is no way Rodgers sanctioned all 11 signings, the board flaffed about all summer looking for the cheap option and that's what we got, Rodgers said ad nauseum that he wanted quality and he wanted them as soon as possible, but imo they ground him down and he ended up with what we got, how does tidsdale never get mentioned he must be recommending these guys, Rodgers is not blameless but the board need to have a look at a Brugge who spend at least 50% of their profit to replace who they've sold but they're too busy stock piling cash and patting one and other on the back.

20 Oct 2025 19:54:59
The bigger picture is yes Brendan spent £30M last season but Celtic took in £45M from transfers.
So that’s another £15M profit.

I would be more critical of Brendan if Celtic actually gave Brendan £15M Net to spend.
( the £45M plus another £15M )
If we still found ourselves in a similar position then yes definitely that would be 100% our Managers fault.

What I mean by downsizing is the Celtic Board have refused to use that EXTRA £40M profit since Brendan came back
Or at least a large chunk of it on much needed transfers.
The actions of the Celtic Board have made the Celtic Squad very much weaker for Brendan Rodgers to work with.

Although I agree with you that Brendan is still underperforming.
Celtic lost 2 games in the whole of 2024 and we’ve already lost 10 times in 2025 and we still have another 17 games to play this year.

Celtic haven’t replaced a few good players but
Brendan must take some of the blame for us falling off a cliff.

20 Oct 2025 20:28:02
Can’t really believe some fans can’t see the obvious.

Our team and squad are very poor with all quality stripped from it.

We need to sell Hatate and Maeda and a whole host of SPFL level players we have acquired and then put another 20 million from the bank balance to attempt to repair the damage this board have done.

Whether BR is the right man to lead the team is down to opinion. Given he is our second most successful manager ever.

I think he is.

20 Oct 2025 22:36:44
Bhoy88 still brown nosing
Rodgers is a big problem but tell us who hired him? Who is allowing this mess to continue? You really have not got a clue when looking at the bigger picture!

21 Oct 2025 08:17:03
Yamada and inamura are world class get them in that'll fix it.

21 Oct 2025 10:32:38
When CM comes out and says their is disharmony in the changing room, which would explain the current form.

Has BR lost the players with his team choices. So many players playing out of position, playing when their form has tanked, Reo, CM and CCV.

There are so many stories about players that are shining in training but don't start, vdont get neat starting.

Has BR just thought 'screw them', even if we don't win the league, he has his defence in place, the board let me down.

Everyone is aware already as BR and the media mention it on a daily basis, ow bad the eindiw was, so his reputation won't be as badly tarnished.

Have the players noted he has changed and no longer pushing them as he did, demanding less.

Something is affecting the players and it isn't purely the issues from the stands.

Our players are much better than their performances sovfar but we do not have the firepower we had up front and with Maeda injured and off the boil, we don't have the pace, dynasm we had last year.

The Manager on a weekly basis is moaning about the back of quality and accuses the players of not doing what he told them to, move the ball forward quicker.

Maybe it is time for a refresh but if BR decides to stay until the end of the season, things need to change dramatically, starting with the weekend.

Our lack of pace from middle to front could get badly exposed by Hearts if they decide to go for us.

Its too early in the season for McIness to think about not losing the game and he will see how vulnerable we are and there to be got at.

If we lose at the weekend, even BR will have to admit he cannot turn this around. Him and the board will need to have a serious think about how we move forward.

I never thought I'd think this way but we are nearing a crossroad, something is broken and I am unsure if the people in place can fix it.

21 Oct 2025 21:08:28
The fact that we smashed our transfer record at £11 million in the year of our lord 2025 is part of the fuckin problem! The rest of football moved a bit, we haven’t even kept pace with inflation. And before anyone talks about the league we play in, we regularly get embarrassed by teams with far less income than us.

21 Oct 2025 21:38:07
He is our second most successful manager ever because the quality in Scotland has been so poor, the guy is a charlatan, of the highest order, he thinks he is the most important person at Parkhead, instead of moulding a team of players, who might or might not have enough quality, all he is interested in is massaging his ego, oh poor me, how can I work with this quality of player, me!, who is an elite coach, I can only dork with elite players, rid me of this riff raff.
