I agree with 4LC, if we could get McGinn this next window he could do a great job for us. Yes he is wrong side of 30 but is younger than Calmac by over 18 months and he has never been blessed with pace and even with Hibs he looked "leggy". I suppose it depends on how much Villa would want as he is not worth a sizeable fee given his age, £3m - £5m though might get it done. Obviously plenty other decent players out there but in comparison to Bernardo, Engles, McCowan, Calmac and Hatate id say he is an upgrade and Sevco would not boss him like they do the others.

There’s zero chance of Villa allowing him to leave with 18 months left on his contract.

Watching Scotland tonight, I would not want Andy Robertson.

He cannot defend, he struggled to pass without giving the ball away and his crosses into the box were poor.

He did cross it and McTominay scored but it was a poor cross.

To be fair to him, all the Scottish defenders, when Scotland needed to hold the ball and catch a breath, simply lumped it up the park.

Scotland were very lucky tonight.

Tierney looked sharp when he came on though, even though it was at right back. Really SC ?

Steve Clark is no mastermind and with the players Scotland have, we should never be bullied in midfield by Belarus.

Mcginn has plenty left in the tank.

I wouldn't want McGinn as he's a headless chicken. He's right back one minute and outside left the next. He's a bigger bum than ten asses and we weren't obviously good enough for him - no thanks, not for me.

{Ed007's Note - ?? Not a fan then Stengo?}

Is it that obvious, Ed? ?.

{Ed007's Note - It's just a feeling.....

We have too many aging player.

I’m usually a good judge when it comes to players but I admit I got John McGinn very wrong.
I wasn’t a big fan of McGinn but he would’ve been a great signing for Celtic.

Mcginn would absolutely run riot in Scotland.

I totally disagree that McGinn would run riot in Scotland. He struggled against Belarus last night and looks better in a team where he is surrounded by better quality players, where he doesn't run about looking lost.

I admit he has done well in Engerlund but so has Ryan Christie but I would have neither of them in our team.

It may be because SC plays him out of position because for some reason he has to play Gilmour in midfield, a really overrated player.

The only hope of getting McGinn in January would be if he was dropped and had a massive fall out with manager. Can't see that happening as he's a good pro.
Despite his age, he would be a great addition. Clark's negative set up made a crap Belarus side look good and almost cost us dearly. Virtually asked him to play winger, what a waste. Thank god Denmark beat Greece last night as I can't see us getting a point in our last 2 games.

The sooner we get shot of SC the better. Get a manager who plays the best, in-form players, in their right positions, in a more attacking set-up. Maybe get some well-won results, instead on relying on luck game after game.

Gilmour is class.

Would take him.
