Notwithstanding the Board's culpability for the situation we find ourselves in, I think tomorrow's game is a huge game for BR in terms of getting the fans back onside with him. There is no doubt fans, some of whom were great supporters of him, have started to point the finger given the abject performances with the players he has at his disposal.
His tactics and player selection is rightly being questioned, not to mention the regression in players like McGregor, Maeda, Hatate, and Engels.
Anything less than a convincing win tomorrow will only add to the finger pointing and the toxic narrative around the whole club.

I’ve previously also thought that Brendan was superb with his team selections and especially his substitution choices but this season I’ve been scratching my head with both.
We can all blame the Celtic Board but Brendan also hasn’t helped himself this season with his poor choices.

maeda improved under brendan look at the season he had last season this season is nothing to do with the manger in terms of maeda he just wants out the club same reason kyogo went off the boil and same reason hatate goes how and cold the japense boys want to move on.

{Ed007's Note - Did Maeda really have a good season or just hit a six month purple patch a la Khun? Daizen had only managed 2 league goals by Christmas last year and let's be honest the player we're seeing now is the the same player we'd been watching since he came in, plenty of energy and running but when he gets the ball he doesn't do much with it. Since Maeda came in how many times did we talk about if he could actually play football he'd be at a "big" club 100%.
The summer was the perfect time to sell Maeda for everyone but I wouldn't imagine his poor form will have any affect on his transfer fee as some people are suggesting, it doesn't work like that.}

Maeda never had a prolific season prior to last term and I think that may have been partly due to him trying to attract interest.
What has been lacking goals-apart, is his tremendous work rate and chasing and I also think he is conceding more daft free kicks.
I know the manager won't do this, but I would like to see a front three of Tounekti, Iheanacho and Nygren.

Completely agree Ed i have said it from day one i like him for his energy and closing down etc but when he gets the ball at his feet he can't do much due to his limited ability, he’s a winger that can’t cross a ball no matter which side he plays, his ball control is shocking for someone his age and experience and don’t get me started on his finishing my 14 year old nephew who plays as a RB can finish better than him. I’d drop him from now until he leaves as he’s producing absolutely nothing for us so we would be as well playing Yang he might give us more in terms of a dynamic up top.

Maeda was much better under Ange, so I can't see how anyone can say Brendan improved him.
