Now for a query on opinions no right or wrong lol but a lot last season said Kenny should be ahead of Idah and I thought yous were all mad to be honest. But after some cameo appearances last season and pre season I have been impressed, who starts Sunday, I know there's talk of Kenny leaving whether true or click bait.
My opinion is idah, a would have maeda but due to shortage of wingers which I have made my opinion on enough, maeda got to be on wing. Idah has a great scoring record for appearances although, hold up and touch let him down, but feel he's more of a box finisher and feel lack of crosses hinders his play. If he could work on link up and holding could be big for us this season but think he really needs to push on this year. I haven't included yamada as he's just in the door and also won't have the space to run into where I feel is his strength but this is a quick opinion as never seen him before apart from friendly.

Celtic need a prolific 1 in 2 striker who can score 20 league goals this season.
I don’t think Kenny or Idah would score 20 league goals but hopefully Shin will surprise us.
( Idah did score 20 overall though last season but only 13 league goals )
A big positive is that Idah is always available.
He came in late at the end of the summer window and he still played in 35 league matches but he only scored 13 league goals.
Obviously that record would improve with more minutes but that’s up to Idah to improve his overall performances, that would force more minutes on the pitch.
I trust Brendan to pick the correct forward on Sunday because he can see them in training every day.
I would be great if Shin comes in and plays the way Kyogo did under Ange.

Pour moi the best proven striker at the club should play and that’s Maeda but wing options or rather the lack thereof is such we need him to play on the wing. So Idah for me should play up front as Yamada hasn’t done enough to jump ahead of him in the pecking order he’s only been here 5 minutes plus you’d shatter Idah’s confidence and he’s a confidence player. He’s also a Rodgers signing and will start or the manager raises questions about his own judgement. Then it’s 50/ 50 phone a friend but I’d go with Yang on right wing and have the Prestwick penguin on the bench who’s also looked decent pre-season. That’s my thoughts for what they’re worth which probably isn’t much.

For me Idah has rarely produced the form and ability he showed during the loan spell that prompted us to buy him.
He drifts in and out and although he is capable of scoring goals, I am not sure he is consistent enough and I also think he has a lot to learn about hold-up play when we need an out ball.
If we get another wide player in the door, I think BR would pick Maeda before him in a number of games.

Yamada for me, his movement is his what we've been missing but I think BR will go with Idah as he's tried and trusted.

The most effective starting roles (IMO) are;-
* Maeda of the left (best position)
* Idah as striker (he needs starts and the chance to prove he's first choice)
* Nygren on the right (as he's better than Yang by a country mile) .
Hopefully, although 'hope' should never be part of any plan, we sign a CB, Striker, Winger, MF and back up LB before the window closes. Cgance would be a fine thing - ?
