Lots of opinions, so here’s mine- I’m bit disappointed it seems we don’t have scouted available targets pinpointed well before window open and trigger pulled so we are better prepared for season, however who says that’s not still the case and targets just aren’t available or willing to sign yet ( perhaps keeping options open) also over past few summers our ability to utalise fringe players pre season and move them on (which is essential) has been outstanding, I fully trust the manager and club and for one can’t wait to see who we sign as we definitely will sign players and if we need to wait for right ones then so be it, trust process folks the meltdown from some is over the top.

We will sign players, but wouldn't get too excited, I've seen this movie before season after season. We won't be any stronger than we were last season. I'm not expecting to sign players at 20 to 30 million, but if we revamped our wage structure and offered 30 to 40k a week wages we would certainly attract a higher calibre of player.

Stevie we spent nearly 30 mil last year I think, let’s get things in perspective, we need to see who is available and who wants to come to us, we could spend better domestically and on foreign players but I just don’t see it, ideally we would have a magic train of academy players supported by some outstanding high earning big money signings with domestic career Tim’s but we just don’t do that, we have money in bank yeah but it’s massively offset by impact not reaching the champions league could have, if not this season definitely the next few with more qualifiers, if we spend another 11m 9m etc on a few players with another few in before window ends would that not be agreed what’s required, looks to me we possibly know who we want but deals can’t be done for some reason at this time in window (teams have euro wualifiers, teams maybe want to start season see if can push price up) and Celtic more than likely will definitely want to see how the prem teams squads line up as there could be some opportunities there, let’s not be too negative because we got a doing in a friendly, only days ago same team pumped a champions league team.

We spent 30 million last season and how much did we bring in on transfers? This is my point standing static, why not push the boat out a bit, maybe bring in 30 million on transfers and spend 50 million.

We don't need to spend more than we bring in to move forward, we just need to sign the right players.

I have always said trust the process, it is immaterial if Rodgers is staying or going the Board have a duty to the club, supporters, brand to deliver improvement annually through player trading ins and outs and commercial deals.
A fellow poster highlighted Paul Tisdale and rightly so, I feel he missed a trick in not replacing Kyogo at the Christmas window and I reserve judgement on the Yamada and young lad brought in from EPL. It has been a bit underwhelming so far but let's judge it when window closes and hopefully we don't have to many hard luck stories in our efforts to bring in quality that will enhance domestic and European challenge.

Been asking this question for too long though Stevie. What's strangest is that people seem surprised about the way we operate. It's no good for anyone's health to be stressing about the same sh*te every summer.

Taylor’s went / Tierney in, Kuhn went / ingren in, jota injured / forrrest fit, Johnstone and ccv just back, Yamada in, we will definitely add the quality we need, what’ we have is no cause for concern domestically and I’d happily go against rangers tomorrow, our progression in Europe starting with getting there is important and where our next additions will hopefully make difference, the clubs removal of fringe players once again for fees seems to be great work, I’m excited what could happen over next weeks until end window.

It is pointless discussing how much money is spent because as long as we play in Scotland we have only a very small fraction of what to clubs in tops 5. Leagues have to spend . Many other leagues get far in excess in TV money than SPL .
What we have to go is decide clearly long before the window opens the type of player we want for each position BR wants to fill . Take for example BR may have many positions as priority but if he thought that our cB’s were not a priority, Some of our fans may give the Board pelters for not signing a player for a position that manager hadn’t requested. After a few weeks the clamour for a cb will grow to a crescendo
It’s important we spend our money wisely, obviously that isn’t something we have always done or we shouldn’t be in need of signing more than half a team every summer . When we have to do that we are starting from a losing position.

Buzz bomb . What we don’t know in January window. Is how many strikers did our recruitment find for Board and leave it to BR to decide if he wanted to sign anyone . It’s more likely that BR doesn’t want any offered and so none could be bought.
