I for one am glad BR has shot down the Eddy rumours. Essentially saying he isn't what we need now as we need pace, energy and commitment. No doubting his talents but he has lost his way and hunger and that isn't always easy to get back. We have known for at least 6 months we need a CF so if our scouts haven't identified a list of 6-8 players that fit the remit they need hunted. You can't tell me they're aren't ambitious and talented CF's out there who would bite your hand off to play for us that are within our price range.

Think we are in process of signing Yamada for £1.5m and was wondering if he would be considered first team option? It's a pity we waited so long after Nakamura - until AP to return - to the Far Eastern Market as we have found some very good players. The only downside for me is their lack of physicality in certain games here in Scotland. However, it's true their medal count far outweighs their brute strength. ?.

Eddy is a no from me he's lost the hunger, but brendan also saying that yamada isn't necessarily the striker option he wants he wants more than that, are the board listening.

I think we will get a more proven striker in, not a big name but an athletic, strong player who can score goals.
I think the Japanese striker is a project but he is strong and good in the air. He us not a proven striker yet. We need that with the chances we create. Another Kyogo would be good.
There is so much negative stories about our Manager and board just now, from people who have absolutely no idea what is going on in the background.
They seem to think they can get inside our heads, put a wall between the Manager and board, us and the board and us and the Manager, that is how desperate they are.
I can genuinely see us getting in at least another 3 new players.
I am ignoring the naysayers and trusting that our club will fo the right thing and gave us a chance of making the CL group stages.

Although I personally think we need a proven first choice striker to compete with Idah, Yamada deserves to be backed and could well prove to be a gem.
French Eddie, whether the 'link' is true or likely not, has had his day.

Edouard is only 27 and he would still run riot in the Scottish League.
In league games only Edouard has a 73% goal contribution in Scottish league matches.
Played 116 league games for Celtic,
Scored 66 league goals and 19 goal assists.

I don't think Eddy would fit in to the high press BR wants from our forwards but I agree with Buzz, he could and would still run riot up here.
We played the style of football that suited him, CP did not. He just wants a Manager who believes in him again.
His price and wages would be out of our keague I think.
Sometimes going back works and sometimes it doesn't, I just think it would be a huge risk because if we get him, we don't get anyone else and if it doesn't work, it is money down the drain.
Again we eould be helping another team improve or get their player back to his best so they can sell him.
As long as there us a chance we could find another Kyogo, I wouldn't take Eddy back.

The problem with Eduardo he has become slower and slower since he left us still a young striker . His lack of movement, even from a young age left him an easy attacker to defend against
In contrast I have an image in my head of Yamada been a very busy striker something like Kyogo but hopefully will fun in tandem with our attacking players . He won’t have the same confusion as Kyogo had with us, playing under Ange style and the slightly different under BR .
I am really hopeful that Yamada will be a star striker and link man between our attacking players.
