Ed do you think McArdle will get much game time this season? Or a chance he will go out on loan? From the small bits I've seen of him he looks like he's got potential.

{Ed007's Note - I'll be surprised if he going to get game time at Celtic but he needs to get out of that B team system asap - as do a lot of our youngsters. Maybe McArdle could be one of the players used in the new Cooperation System set-up with Queen's Park but a full season out somewhere would suit better imo.}

ED007 a lot of Celtic people are saying that our B team playing in the Lowland League is not testing our bhoys and thus they are not developing properly.
Remember a few seasons ago before the young boys played CL games our B team used to play games against EPL reserve teams on a fairly regular basis but that seems to have fallen away, at least in these games our bhoys were well tested against good clever young players.
Maybe try and arrange something along those lines again, even play continental teams if bhoys not involved in CL games.

{Ed007's Note - They need to do something, Timbo. Ideally the SPFL should grow a pair big enough to step in and say that to play in the Premiership you must register a team in their properly ran reserve league.}

Our youngsters in that sat morning game just finished, are nowhere near good enough to even challenge for place on bench never mind team, mins few of senior pros cld say same.

Ed, can you confirm that Celtic can have more than one team that they can link with.
I'm sure I read that we can have team in the Championship and one team in the first division.
If that's right we should be able to get a fair few of our young boys games at a higher standard than the B team.

{Ed007's Note - Celtic (SPFL Premiership clubs) can have a link up with one club in each division below us, the Championship can only have agreements with clubs in leagues below them... the players have to "drop" down the way throughout the league system, so the Championship clubs can't send a player up to say Falkirk next season.
Remember this new system only applies to players in the 16-21 age range who are eligible for Scotland's national teams.}

Cheers ED, I thought we could link with more than one team although I didn't know the Scottish national part.
I would be good to have a couple of teams say Queens Park in the Championship and possibly Inverness in the first division.

{Ed007's Note - Anything's got to be better than that Lowlands League debacle imo ?
