Great piece of business for the club to get £16m for a player we paid less than £3m for and who downed tools and went in the huff due to not getting a move in January.
Very good player when he is interested but will be glad to see the back of him.

Shame he lost momentum and maybe interest after January as he was a real talent and a definite match winner. He may have had little impact in the last few Sevco games, but he contributed greatly to the title and Cup triumphs and was a CL stand-out.

We now need 2 wingers.
Hope they have a plan. If he has been unhappy, then there is no excuse for us not having a few players lined up to select from.
On his day, and when he was in the mood, he was unplayable.
We now need to find someone of that calibre. Jamsie and Yang aren't replacements, although they did OK, we need real quality on both sides, as Jota will be months and months away.
Get Balikwisha and the Finish lad and still have change from Khuns fee.
{Ed007's Note - Isn't Benjamin Nygren Khun's replacement?}

That is what I suspected as well ed but I think we may bring in another winger because Jota is injured.
{Ed007's Note - I think that's where the interest in Balikwisha comes in.Both of them can play on either wing but Nygren prefers the right and Balikwisha plays mostly on the left.}

If that is BRs plan Ed and not use him as a 10. He would be good in either position.
There is rumour Yang might go out on loan which would leave us with Jamsie as backup.
I do think we will do more business but be interesting which positions we are looking to cover.
If we are going with the front line we have and defence, is it time to invest in a quality, experienced holding CM.
The players we have taken in already are ok but I don't see us being much stronger.
Have you heard about any real interest in players, as opposed to the clickbait stories?
{Ed007's Note - Nah mate, I've not really heard much of any note that I haven't mentioned already, sorry.}

The club opened their purse strings last Summer’s transfer window and spent massive money ( as far as SPL ) is concerned . Some fans are still in shock over amount spent on Engels and Idah . I hope the board ignore these fans when buying more players this summer .
If there is anything good about a good player leaving, it’s them leaving early in window . We won’t learn anything about Kuhn sudden. Improvement in form and equally sudden big drop in performance. That won’t stop fans from telling us.

Very good business for Kuhn and I've got no doubt that BR will be looking to add more quality to the squad during the course of this window.
Like many of the posters have already mentioned; positions that require upgrading are in the midfield, centre back, another winger and a striker.
Arithmetic isn't my strong suit but we must be something like £20 odd million in the green already, when you then add the sell on fee for Frimpong to the kitty.
No excuses, the board needs to back BR and pay to get the right players in.

How can you have a few players lined up to replace a player that leaves .
I just don’t think it is often feasible . Can we scour the world making enquiries about a players availability price and other important information, do the same again with at least one more player for the same position. Then do the same thing for at least five/ six positions. I think by the time we need any of these players, they will have either been sold or two or three clubs fighting for their signature after the agent pointing out our interest .
I could well be wrong but it’s not easy signing many players who are worth signing . No matter how good a club is at buying, club will pick up some who will just not make it.
Selling MO’R last summer couldn’t be prevented, but I thought it was a year too soon, Kuhn, I don’t know 4- 5 months brilliance, could we have got that again this season . We have no idea why his brilliance was so short lived, or how much did he want out.

I agree Jb71, seldom witnessed a more obvious downing of tools. Glad he has gone and glad the club made a good profit. Kuhn was exact opposite in attitude to Maeda. We don't need players who can't give an honest performance and commitment.
