Think it’s a good idea but flawed in its place on calendar, we’ve seen from internationals that games at this part of season (outwith the nations league finals) are just not being competitive enough, players need there breaks and this tourney will either show the same or catch up the players later in season, but as someone said it beats the cricket/ tennis/ tour de France etc.

Greed has well and truly made it's mark, instigated by FIFA and UEFA either inventing extra tournaments or fixing existing draws.
Most managers and players say there are too many games in a calendar year - especially with International matches scattered throughout. Clubs even arrange money spinning tours with competitive matches for pop-up trophies and now we have yet another full-on tourney when most players would be enjoying a close-season and recovering.
Nonetheless, hypocritically, I will probably watch some of it to avoid cricket as well and the consolation for me is Celtic players will probably be resting up and watching it also.

I very much doubt if UEFA and FIFA are the greedy bast. rds who are at their contriving best attempting to prevent elite clubs from creating a money grabbing tournament without UEFA and FIFA getting their cut (s) . The big clubs from the 5 big football countries in Europe are always plotting special money making tournaments . Thankfully UEFA or FIFA have some control over them.
I haven’t knowledge if the same situation exists in other Continents, but I do think it gives unfair advantage in Europe to the big football countries clubs.

Rich teams? Have you seen some of the teams in it? Anyway as long as Sevco aren't in it and getting £50 million for it, I'll be enjoying watching and betting on it?.
