Ed . re Liverpool game .0-0 at anyfield 2-2 Celtic park . it was a great game mcmanaman equalised with a about a minute to go . he turned somebody who was slow to him and never put in a challenge he then ran from his own half and scored from their point of view a great goal . though . why nobody halved him in two to stop him getting into the scoring position I'll never know . I was in main stand that night and unfortunately had a great view of it.

Although Celtic lost over both legs,
It gaves us the conference to go on and win the league cup and then our first title in 10 years.

This was an example of a tie turning on it’s head by a bit of brilliance by Mc Manaman aided by a Celtic defence that as with the rest of the team played brilliantly and although we lost a 2-1 lead right at the end, our team Celtic, certainly didn’t let themselves down and that was one of our glorious nights at Celtic park.

Weighorst should have chopped him down, but let him run on.

It didn’t come natural to Celtic players of any era to chop opponents down . We talk about winning and playing the Celtic way and although it has cost us in some very important games, this game in question, Champions League V AC Milan .
Both Ibrox clubs regularly resort to taking players out and domestically they get away with it.

What a lot of nonsense Celticda, McNeill, Gemmell and Auld had a professional foul in their locker and they played in the greatest attack minded team in Celtic's history, even the greatest passer of the ball in Celtic's history had that hardness too, it's called taking one for the team, it's a contact sport, Stein used to hurry Bob Kelly out the dressing room when he was lecturing the players to play the so called Corinthian way against Rangers, he would lock the door behind him and say to the players don't listen to any of that crap, win the ball the way you need to win it Bertie, silky team The Lions, but hard as nails too.

Forgot to add the name of the greatest passer of a ball in Celtic's history, BOBBY MURDOCH,
