£5m bid for Trusty rejected by Sheff Utd apparently. Is it too late to put the price up for MJ?
1.) 28 Aug 2024 15:36:28
Would definitely prefer another cb don't believe Trusty is even better than scales, Sheffield utd fans can't get him out fast enough.
2.) 28 Aug 2024 20:09:10
We need to spend about £10m for the real deal. The CL will mean if we are serious about having a go, going for a player who the support think is s hit, for me at least, is too much of a risk. We get £2m for a win, a bit of ambition now could recoup a chuck of that £10m. We would then have a solid team to win the qualifying game next years CL.
Bogusz deal now as dead as the ambition of our Blazers. Engels still nowhere. Offering £6.5m was embarrassing and if I was them, would be so p issed off I would hold out for ) 12m. They aren’t losing a dime in the lad. He will go for that kind of money.
Another year developing and improving could double his value. Pay the £12m, get him in. We don’t have the time. You wasted so much time. Even today, Bogusz fell through. Two days before the deadline? Seriously? The board needs routed. We need Celtic men who are still in possession of their balls. Who will not rely on the manager to throw all the lunches required to defend our club.
Who want to improve year in year and return to Europe to restore our reputation. It’s long overdue. The only, and I mean only barrier to that, are the men who lead us. They have just over 48 hours to pull this out of the fire and give us a fighting chance in the CL.
If you do, I will simultaneously hug you and boot your arse for putting us through all this. It needs to change. Get the recruitment structure in place befitting of our club. Or Eff the eff Off. What a week to give up the Valium.

Obviously Aberdeen would keep him if they could, but is there really a chance we'll look to sell Christie in the summer? Would be a real shame.
1.) 28 Feb 2018 11:46:21
I think he will every chance in the summer as he looks ready for the step up IMO.
2.) 28 Feb 2018 22:53:23
Christie is a fine player but very similar in standard to what we have - McGregor, Armstrong etc. If we want to keep BR and improve in Europe we need better than that. Only my opinion but I would sell him and Armstrong and Bitton and try and get one player of a higher standard. Easier said than done granted but that’s what we pay scouts for.
3.) 01 Mar 2018 08:46:48
Chinks replacing 3 players with one is not a good idea. Our squad has been stretched to the limits this season to trim it anymore would be mental.
4.) 01 Mar 2018 18:09:40
Kev83 replacing 3 players with 1 would be crazy if said 3 players played 20 games each for the first team this year. How many good performances has Armstrong, Christie or Biton put in for the 1st team this year? Do yeah buying a better quality prospect or a senior pro would be a good move for me as even if they don't play 60 games in the season we ain't losing out on much.
18 May 2016 20:30:12
See we are linked with Charlton keeper Nick Pope. Have we got shirt sales in mind here or is he a decent prospect?
1.) 18 May 2016 22:00:44
Is the number 11 shirt available?
2.) 19 May 2016 19:31:35
number 11 u say
its available now pmsl.

The Hamilton LB Hendrie was linked with us a wee while back, and his move to West Ham has just collapsed. Are we still/have we ever been interested?
Izzy desperately needs competition
1.) Quotes say he is out of contract on the Summer so a bit strange why West Ham we're going to pay £2 million for him especially when he won't be a starter. Could be a good move for us on a Bosman although we would have to pay a development fee due to his age.

Wonder if there's much chance of us looking at any of the Scottish based Aussies? Admittedly haven't seen them much domestically but Rowles and Baccus looked decent at the WC.
1.) 13 Dec 2022 11:51:59
Baccus I'd be interested in as rotation, but I don't think Rowles gets anywhere near our squad.
13 May 2022 15:12:06
Solbakken off to Roma. Was hoping we'd make a move regardless of what happened with Jota.
1.) 13 May 2022 15:34:29
Roma got a chance to see him up close 4 times this season and they must’ve liked what they saw.
2.) 13 May 2022 17:24:17
Shame I think he would have done a good job for us but if we were not looking at him in Ange we trust.
3.) 13 May 2022 22:02:56
I'd tend to agree Tony, it'll be interesting to see how he does in the Eternal City.

Any chance we've got an option to buy clause in Elyounoussi's loan deal?
19 Nov 2019 13:08:43
Has anyone made the pilgrimage to the Estadio Nacional recently? Just looking for some advice on doing a tour. Also hoping to get to a Sporting game.
Cheers.
1.) 19 Nov 2019 16:04:10
Mike I thought it was a public space these days but it's still used for official games. Just check availability online before you head in.
2.) 19 Nov 2019 23:17:41
Cheers Kev, will keep an eye out.
03 Sep 2019 11:58:09
Anyone know if there are options to buy in the Forster, Bauer or Elyounoussi loan deals?
1.) 03 Sep 2019 12:10:16
No just a years loan buddy.
2.) 03 Sep 2019 12:16:28
There is an option to buy Bauer but truth be told pay the right money and you could buy any of them.
All an option to buy is, is a set price before the deal.
3.) 03 Sep 2019 12:46:28
I thought we’d bought my Bauer?
4.) 03 Sep 2019 13:06:48
All 3 of them would be outside the money we pay for players. They were all bought by their parent clubs for big money so if they do move on then it makes sense that the clubs would want to recoup all or most of what they paid to begin with. We would be no different.
As Kev says, an option is not a guarantee and even if both clubs were happy to go ahead with the deal at the end of a loan period the player could still say no. HH.
5.) 03 Sep 2019 13:09:43
I think there an option on FF too. He has certainly been talking about coming back.
6.) 03 Sep 2019 13:18:18
The only benefit of an option loan is that the price has been set in advance. It stops a parent club from hiking a players value if they have just had a great season for the loan club and that club wants to make the loan permanent, again with the agreement of the player himself. Better to have it than not to have it but only time will tell if it turns out to be a good thing. HH.
7.) 03 Sep 2019 13:26:25
As far as I hear Southampton just want big FF off their wage bill as he's around the highest paid player at the club. Don't think they will be hard to deal with. Problem would be whether he will take a wage cut.
Bauer performs well I think we will sign him.
Can't see the winger being in our price range.
02 Feb 2024 12:07:33
he'll be like a new signing when he comes back.
01 Feb 2024 07:40:35
there goes our penalty taker!
23 Aug 2023 12:39:41
can't force him to play like the best if he's not up for it. if one lesson was to be learned from the 20/ 21 season it should be getting identifying players who don't want to be at the club and getting shot of them while they're still worth something.
20 Jun 2023 11:31:05
hopefully the deal with dafabet runs out soon. that sponsor logo is horrendous.
16 Jun 2022 12:25:40
We should sign a sleeve deal with Cazoo and get paid twice also.
{Ed007's Note -
15 Aug 2024 10:14:53
definitely, think it's a no brainer always been hoping we'd go for him. boosts the scottish contingent for euro games as well.
25 Jan 2022 08:51:43
It might not fit with Angeball, but we could be doing with a centre mid (baldy optional) who can protect the flair players, soak up the attention of the hatchetmen and leave a foot in when required.
21 Jul 2020 11:42:28
Not allowed in the current rules - just one on the front, two on the back, one on the shorts and one on the socks.
13 Jul 2020 12:20:54
Musacchio good player but could be out for the rest of the year after ankle surgery.
12 Jun 2020 10:01:04
That's mad. No brainer at that price, especially with Hayes away. Hickey seems like the obvious target - cheap, big potential and is a tim.
