Very happy with that result. But we got away with murder. Hate to flog a dead horse but the few times Efe messed up could have cost us the tie. Scott Brown is a liability. all he does now is chase the game and give away fouls. ref was a c@nt but would never expect anything else from an Italian. I expect to win at home but got to say I'm tired of this shit. having to play so many rounds to get into the champions league proper. This competition is as corrupt as the British government.

BEst post of the afternoon: who can disagree with any of these controversial points (I actually thought Efe was decent) Broony had a howler, ref was on the take, and UEFA and White Hall may be in cahoots. Tell it like it is, Fraserbhoy!

I wonder if someone hates to flog a dead horse why he has to flog the dead horse . Neither the two centre halves we had today would be in our top 3/ 4 centre halves . We should be very proud of how young O'Connell performed, one of our own that we have trained for yrs. We had problems with 2nd centre half position and B R must have tried various combinations in his mind before opting for the unreliable Ambrose Ambrose stood up well and made minimum mistakes and if he should leave Celtic now at least he should leave on a high.

New season. same story. Told there will be money to spend. no budget limit. sell loads of season tickets. only thing we buy so far is a young project striker. usual suspects let us down in Europe in Brown and Biton. Efe Ambrose does what he usually does. Not all his fault of course but how many times. the rest of them should have been much better. Possibly the worst defeat in our history and Manager claims it's not embarrassing? If we don't get an early goal at home there will be nerves and this team don't seem to have the bottle to dig out of a hole.

Let's get Jose Mourinho in. He's looking for a job and he could add another title with a great European giant in another country to his CV. I'm sure he'd be happy to come in for whatever we can afford to pay him, doubt he's short of a few quid! ! Maybe see if we can temp Pep to come in as his assistant to help out with tactics! It's all feeling really stale at Celtic at the moment. Not sure what the problem is but it's shocking to watch.

Oldbhoy I was clearly being sarcastic suggesting we get Jose in with Guardiola as his assistant, but I'm surprised you think that would be a new low? Until this season where the Chelsea players have clearly not been playing for him any club in the world would have this guy as a managerand I would suggest many still will want him. Just out of interest who would you pick above him?

Celticbhoy. Get yer head out of your backside pal. Griffiths is a goalscorer. End of. If we didn't sign an in form young striker up on a long term deal people would moan. Where does this mindset that we will easily score more than all other teams some from? I don't see many posts about our amazing wingers. . amazing attacking midfielders or prolific dead ball experts. Do we just score more because we are a big club? Or is it because our main striker is doing what he's paid to do?

Island celtic. I agree with most of your post. we seem to believe we are still a big club. we are not. 23rd in Europe highest average attendance last season (championship team the Rangers were above us in 22nd) UEFA think so highly of us in Scotland we are in the same qualifying round of the champions league as a part time club from Gibraltar. who still managed to beat us. no money ever spent on top quality players. no real quality at all in our MASSIVE squad. we are a selling club and have been for many years. we play in a God awful league where the standard across the board is painful to watch and teams from the EPL make far more money from TV deals getting relegated then we could dream of winning our league over and over again. we need to accept we are no longer considered a big club by anyone. We have had a great history but even that needs to be temperred. Aston villa. red star Belgrade and steaua Bucharest all won the European cup more recently than us and they are hardly considered big clubs nowadays. Accept what we have become and the reality of our standing in the world game. then we might not be so embarrassed by the poor squad and poor results. It's a shite state of affairs Tommy. and all fresh air in the world won't make any F@#king difference.

Is this not the manager who told us he would rather play attractive football and lose than win with ugly football? What the hell is going on at Celtic? The only time I have watched attractive football this season was v dundee utd. Then he changes the whole team for the next match. More crazy changes today. Another pish performance. Him and John Collins are so far out of their depth it's embarrassing. I'd have given him more of a chance if he'd been true to his word and had a decent philosophy. All that about Griffiths being the best finisher he'd seen, yet not getting a game. Attacking football yet one up front at home? He's a fake and should be run out the door. And take JC with him. Bring back WGS.
To The GB poster. I 100% appreciate the noise and atmosphere you bring to match days, great craic, inventive and usually funny but also believe you are getting a bit above yourselves going by this post. Asking for your own special stewards? Referring to 111 as your block? Really? It's not your's, It's Celtic's stadium and they allow you to party there, however, like a drunk mate at a party, its fun to watch for a while, but when he starts taking the piss, getting above himself and embarrassing you, it's time to have a strong word. Celtic have always had a good reputation, great atmosphere and loyal fan base, long before and long after the GB. The club are completely right in issuing a statement about this given the media attention and bad publicity it has generated, not so sure you have the same right to then attack the club for trying to project a profession reaction to what could cause us serious trouble with UEFA.
