United fan here. Just wanted to get your opinions on Rangers challenging you guys for the title next season?

I have a strong dislike for Gerrard, but he has turned Rangers around into challengers again. The gap between the sides which was huge last season has closed fairly quickly.

What can Celtic do to stay ahead?

Shappy we have had our worst season in years and still have a double with another final to come.
We won't be this bad again next year.

If Neil Lennon is in charge I'd have genuine concerns about the title.

Is Lennon likely to get the job full time? If not him then who?
Also, no disrespect, but with the gulf in finances and quality not getting to every cup final in Scotland has to be seen as a failure for you guys. So conversely winning a couple isn't that big a deal.

I was chatting with a friend of mine from north of the wall about Scottish football. The conclusion we came to was that long term it could benefit Scottish football as a whole if Celtic and Rangers entered the English football league. They would have to start at the bottom and work their way up, but I have no doubts that within 5 years they would be in the EPL, the funds that would come in for both sides would allow them to massively improve their facilities, and staff from the bottom up. That would give two clubs world class training facilities at youth level. It would also allow for Scottish football to become more competitive.

What do you guys think?

Well under Rodgers we've won every domestic trophy going. Not sure if I've missed your point there.

As for playing in England. It doesn't bother me and it's certainly not something I yearn for. Who knows what the horizon of European football looks like. If there's some sort if Euro super league where your Manchesters, Liverpools et al bugger off then we might see some sort of involvement with Celtic and England. Or perhaps even a 2nd or 3rd tier of Euro leagues involving Celtic. Like I say though not fussed. I've spent 30 years happy enough watching us play Scottish teams so what's another 30 eh?
