We are back in for Ghedjemis, does that mean the Hassan deal has gone cold?

It looks like Baur will be staying at Paderborn after all. Do you know if that’s true?

Note we are after Ginetis. You mentioned you’d love him to replace Engels if he left. Is he a good player?

Better ask GreenBottles as he seems to know what's going on, although he has been quiet the last few days.
Maybe he is Michael Nicholson in disguise and is away doing some deals for a change.

We need to pay what the selling club wants, it might be over the odds but we've left it late again that's on the board and clubs know we're getting desperate, we are at leat 4 players short with 15 player's having left, surely mn cm are gone after this how many windows is that they've dithered.

Tam from still game is sealing the deals.

Can't be a coincidence and he must be getting his instructions from higher up. We seem to work on a policy of 1 first team player out another 1 in.

After the Dundee game it's evident what we need.

Think we are working more to 1 in after 7/ 8 out.

Got told we have pulled out of the Ghedjemis deal. Rumours Hassan away to Marseille.

If it's a 1 in 1 out then we should have at least 5 playets in as we have we not lost more than 2 first team players?
We have replaced Maeda with Duran and Iheanacho with Hogh but what about Saracchi, Araujo, Schmeichel, along with the other 12 first team squad players.

I was watching Acsom and they mentioned that we will have saved something like £200k a week on wages alone if the average player was on around £6k.
What are they actually waiting for or saving all this money for?

The thing that gets me about the Celtic board is when it comes too selling our players we want top dollar quite rightly so, BUT when we go after another teams players we offer half the price that the club is looking for and the board seams to scratch there heads and wonder why the selling club isn't giving us the player.

OFFER WHAT THE SELLING CLUB IS ASKING FOR, Or don't bother offering at all. Top tip for the board.

{Ed007's Note - Why haven't West Ham met the asking price for Engels then, why didn't Everton or Fulham offer the right money for AJ?
Celtic do what every other club does - even to us - and negotiate a price.
Should Celtic just have stumped up the £ to buy 60% of Saracchi, not even the whole registration of the player?
Boca wanted £1.5m for 60% ownership (we initially offered them 60% of that £900k after they refused to sell 100%) meaning if we had went on to sell him for £10m we get £6m - minus the 1.5 we paid so 4.5m profit, Boca get £4m profit because the £1.5 we paid for 60% is the same Boca paid for 100% when they initially signed him. There's no way Celtic should get involved in a deal like that, if we sold him on for only £5m we'd only break even.
Throw in his wages/bonuses etc and we'd have struggled to make any decent profit while Boca are in 100% profit no matter what the resale value could be, if he bombed and we sold him for £1m to cut our losses Boca get £400k of that.}

Does every player have to generate a profit through sales? What about the value of having a squad equipped to qualify for the CL?

Ed, that Sarrachi deal sounds mental. Why would any club entertain that. But all our fans see is the board failed to get the player in, they don't know the ins n outs of the deal.

That said our board do seem to dither over signings. I'd have thought Baur and a winger along with a LB would have been on the door by now.

{Ed007's Note - I think even Celtic thought they would have more players in the door by now. Clubs are looking at the fees & profit Celtic get for players and they want their cut of that from players they're selling to us, Las Palmas want a 50% sell-on clause for Horkas (that's on any profit we make, not on the whole fee like the Saracchi deal) which is still higher than normal, to get them to drop that to a more reasonable level Celtic will probably have to offer a higher up front fee.}

Marseille are a financial mess.
