Is this going to be another Dolberg scenario where we ‘negotiate’ for him exclusively with no other option considered, get to close of window, find out we never offered anything near what Bodo wanted, board say sorry (they never apologise) we tried, then go look for a freebie? {Ed007's Note - Yes I do, Kasper Hogh had asked for some time to think things over and he told Bodo/Glimt at the weekend that he would be interested in moving this window if the right offer comes in for both parties.
It was never a case of "Celtic should just pay the money" we were getting force fed by all & sundry - the player hadn't decided (or told Bodo/Glimt) if he was moving or not until last weekend.}

That sounds positive, I don't know much about him but his stats look very good over the last year.

With Maeda 'closing in' on signing for Ipswich, Hatate apparently interesting West Ham and Everton said to be keen on Johnston, we need to get the finger out.
By my very rough calculations, we could sell the above 3 players and after adding the Nawrocki fee, bring in circa £30M.
Baur, Hogh, Hassan, Ferry, Penrice would cost around £22M. We'd still need a GK, CB and at least another x2 MF and that's before Engels leaves for £25M in the last week of the window.

I was thinking between £15-£20M Ed and the WC hasn't done the fee any harm.
IF and it's still a big IF, we can get key deals over the line like Baur, Hogh, Hassan and a few more (depending on who leaves) we could have a new look side that can compete on all fronts.
The board will pocket their usual wedge and put away with the other £60M and even then, they still have Engels to sell.
I just hope they back MON to the hilt by signing the best possible players, players who'll get the fans off their seats and who are capable of filling that jersey and playing the Celtic way.

It's like Steff saying "will we use the Maeda money for Hogh", if we do sell say AJ for £20m and let's say that covers Ajuaro, Hogh and Hassan so to speak, Duran and Baur are covered by the exits already and that's before we consider Engels & Hatate's money if they're sold.
I genuinely and honestly think that Celtic - if we were ran right - should & could be able to seriously strengthen the squad every window and still make a tidy profit.}

The only people who don’t think that are the current board. If they could get their act together, we would only probably need 2/ 3 quality players per window plus a few project gambles.
