Would love for us to consider Ibrahim Said at Motherwell. Was a standout last season, and is back on it again already. Tore HJK Helsinki apart last night.

Agree4 Disagree0

Am sure (probably wrong) that it was him that tore us apart last Christmas and always thot he went under the radar.

14 Aug 2026 22:39:43
I'm pretty sure it was the board that done that Troy. ?.

Ah Joe. Keeping it light ya wee scamp.

What’s current thoughts on things Joe, not
Looking to rage bait you lol, your feelings on board won’t change because of some signings but what’s feelings on 4 players that have came in and the decent links we’ve seen, mon saying baur isn’t Engels replacement so I’d suggest we take his word for it that we will sign a decent replacement too. Il be up front and say I’m asking as there’s been zero negatives for me this summer, it looks to me the perception of being slow was more about getting it right and our actual targets, been a while we’ve heard we’ve worked on targets, waited on them, then paid for them and got them, I’m wandering if you can recognise anything good by board or if you’ll be fixated on net spend, past performance ( which was poor but maybe only poor for few season 2 summers ago we spent big on Engels idah etc ) I also would ask when you giving us a watch, its new faves could be a hard watch (Dundee was) but what’s feelings if it’s great, u deserve to be and get excited over good players.

We will need a couple more in midfield with AE probably away, particularly just before the biggest game of our season.

I cannot get my head around getting rid of one of our best players before that game. Probably £ signs. Panic because we have spent good money and fear that if we didn't take it now, the chances are WH wouldn't wait till after these 2 games.

We will be significantly weaker in midfield for these games against a good team. They beat Saltzburg to the title last season and have won their first 3 games this season, scored 12 goals and conceded 1.

They are no pushover and are a huge step up from the team that put us out of the qualifiers last season.

Baur may be match fit but he isn't a replacement for Engels.

I am pleased with the level of players we have taken in so far but this piece of business could be the most significant this summer and could cost us the most.

I am really concerned that we are not strong enough for this tie yet.

On paper the 4 signings are definitely a massive step up.

Still early days yet but it’s positive.

Still feel the defence is being heavily neglected. No one can surely feel the 4 CB’s we have are good enough for any European competition.

We shouldn’t need to be thankful to a board for replacing sold players. Do we even know this isn’t a one off event to take pressure off after previous protests? Our future cannot be defined by one window regardless of how good. There are still so many structures, including this board, within this club that NEED to change to bring this club into the present let alone prepare us for the future.

So as potentially exiting as this window appears, judgement has to be deferred. Also, sorry to keep repeating, but if approached better in the past, our bank balance could have been 2 to 3 times what it is now (CL income) and that’s not counting the increase in player trading attached to buying better quality.

I don’t think any fan should thankful for anything board do, there mostly investors or employees, we should give credit or recognition when the do well or criticism if poorly, and one things for sure hind sight won’t fix any previous mistakes, there’s so many metrics to consider when discussing how clubs doing and it’s clear winning domestically something the board consider a top metric seems to not be a top metric for some fans, there’s a huge narrative now off the pitch not helped by club that means winning isn’t enough, question for Joe is purely how does he see recent business and actions and hopefully we can get him to agree to watch his team, that’s it, we could go full war and piece on all the other factors and metrics about Celtic.

Let’s be clear, just because we might be happy with what’s been done and why looks on table doesn’t mean jobs done,
We need more, and let’s be clear there’s non footballing things to sort as soon as window closes as even then if we’re all happy they’ll have work to do,
I feel whether it’s a run losses, loss of a title if that ever happens away from another self inflicted meltdown that will be worse than last year,

WeeJoe, look accross the city, freak injury or otherwise for Chermitti.

If there was a bid and a big if. I bet they wished they'd taken it and left him out the squad.

Now he's sitting in the treatment room worthless.

I'm for one are happy if the bid is taken and Engels is left out. I don't think he'll be that big of a miss. Never seen him take a game and run it in midfield.

15 Aug 2026 13:18:42
Green tree can't disagree more.

Engels was our best midfielder by miles and I’ll say it again it can’t be easy in a 3 man midfield when you’re the only one with the legs.

I wish Nygren had the Engels engine and if we had a proper CDM playing instead of the finger pointer then he would have done a lot more.

I expect he shows his quality over the next couple of years and hopefully a wee sell on clause gets us a few extra £££s.

15 Aug 2026 14:12:05
Bishopton we're all entitled to our opinion, and I respect yours ?.

15 Aug 2026 16:02:36
I only disagree with Engels not being a big miss, I think he will be.

Only if his replacement isn’t as good imo.

It’s like you said only an opinion and mine is worth as much as yours ?.

No Joe yet.
